August 6

Report of a theft in Ely — The reporting party claimed someone stole his prescribed medication from his residence. A report was completed.

Report of a juvenile problem — The reporting party claimed several juveniles were in the roadway. The juveniles were gone when officers arrived.

Report of a problem with a subject in Ely — The reporting party claimed there was a disturbance involving a male subject at a local auberge. The male had left prior to law enforcement arrival.

Report of a welfare check — The subject was located and found to be fine.

Report of a juvenile problem in Ely — Upon arriving, deputies discovered four juveniles damaging a building. The juveniles were released to their guardians and reports will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecutorial review for the two juveniles that were over the age of eight.

Report of a trespass in Ely — The unwanted subject was located and advised not to return to the property.

Report of littering in Ely — The reporting party complained about a neighbor littering. A report was completed.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that she had gotten into a physical confrontation with her boyfriend. The parties involved were contacted and the investigation continues.

Report of a juvenile problem in Ely — Officer received a report of several juveniles involved in inappropriate behavior. Officer contacted the parents of the juveniles who were working out the problem.

Report of an abandoned vehicle in Ely — The owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised to have it removed from the city street.

Report of a private property accident in Ely — Jeremy Rice of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. He failed to see a vehicle behind him operated by Gary Cloyd of Lund. Rice’s vehicle struck Cloyd’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject in Ely — Reporting party stated that she wanted a subject removed from her home. She was advised that she needed to evict him due to he was aloud to live there for a extended time.

Report of a barking dog in Ely — The owner was contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of a fraud in Ely — Reporting party stated that someone stole her gas card and has used it in the Ely area several times. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident — Ronald Hall of Grand Junction, CO was operating a vehicle traveling on US 50 when he struck a deer. A report was completed.

Report of abandoned dogs in Ely — Officer reported that eighteen dogs had been abandoned inside a home. The dogs were removed by animal control. Officers are attempting to locate the owner of the dogs.
