McGill Labor Day Celebration

The McGill Revitalization Association presents the McGill Labor Day Reunion Aug. 30-Sept. 1. The McGill Community Parade at 6 p.m. kicks off the festivities on Aug. 30 followed by a dance at Circle K Park at 7 p.m.

On Aug. 31, the Big Splash at the McGill Pool Park begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., the McGill Grade School Open House features a cookie and punch social and self tour. A $10 donation per person or $15 per couple is requested.

At 8 p.m., the grade school hosts a dance/concert, featuring music form new age rock band Disforia from Salt Lake City. All proceeds ($10 donation per person or $15 donation per couple) goes to the KCC Ball Park revitalization. On Sept. 1, the clean up of the KCC Ball Park goes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. followed by slow pitch softball and children’s games. There will also be hamburgers, chips and a soda in appreciation for the help. At 8:30 p.m., the KCC Ball Park hosts the McGill Town Council Fireworks.
