August 20

Report of a problem with a subject in Ely — Reporting party stated that a individual came to her home and now refuses to leave. Officer contacted the individual and advised her to leave the residence.

Report of harassment in Ely — Reporting party stated that he is was confronted and threatened by an individual. Investigation continues.

Report of an injured deer — The area was patrolled, but the deer was not located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported it was a verbal argument. The parties separated for the day.

Report of a fire — Report was given to Ely BLM

Report of an intoxicated pedestrian in Ely — Officer located two individuals who were intoxicated and refused to leave the roadway after being instructed to do so. One individual was identified as Daniel D. Griffin age 47 of Ely. He was arrested for intoxicated person in a roadway. The other person was identified as Bobbie G. Simmons age 33 of Ely. She was also arrested for intoxicated person in a roadway.

Report of possible drug use — Officer received a report of several individuals possibly smoking drugs. The area was patrolled, but the individuals had left the area. Investigation continues.

Report of a public nuisance in Ely — Officer contacted the owner of the property who indicated he was in the process of cleaning it up.

Report of a damaged windshield — Reporting party stated that he was following a truck that was hauling gravel when some of its load came off the truck and broke his windshield. The owner of the truck hauling the gravel was contacted and advised of the complaint.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that he had received a telephone call from a individual stating that his ex-wife had written a check that didn’t clear the bank and that he was still responsible for the amount of the check. Reporting party provided the caller with his debit card number to provide funds for the bounced check. The reporting party was advised that it was a scam and to contact his banking establishment.

Report of a welfare check — The child was contacted and was fine.

Report of a violation of a court order — Officer investigated the incident and reported that no violation had occurred.

Report of embezzlement in Ely — Reporting party stated that an employee was skimming form the till. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of a male subject operating a vehicle and pointing a firearm at pedestrians. Officer located the vehicle and contacted the operator. During the officers investigation the operator of the vehicle was identified as Jason H. Anderson age 32 of Ely. Anderson was arrested for DUI and no insurance. Officer reported that no firearm was located at the scene.

August 21

Report of a dead deer in a roadway — The deer was removed.

Report of a public nuisance in Ely — Reporting party stated that her neighbors are allowing dog feces to build up in their yard. Officer is attempting to contact the neighbor.

Report of possible child neglect in Ely — Officer received a report of an individual possibly using drugs around her children. The suspect lives in another county. The information was provided to the proper jurisdiction.

Report of debris in the roadway — The items were removed.

Report of a domestic disturbance in Ely — Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation Ferron K. Valdez age 34 of West Wendover was arrested. Valdez was arrested for domestic battery strangulation and false imprisonment. He is accused of battering a female whom he is in a dating relationship with and not allowing her to leave the residence.

Report of threats in Ely — Reporting party stated that the father of her child had made threats to her over visitation rights. All the parties involved were advised to stay away from each other.

Report of found property in Ely — Reporting party found a check. The owner will be contacted.

Report of someone living in a camp trailer in Ely — Officer contacted the responsible person who denied living in the trailer. He was advised he could not live in the trailer unless it was hocked up to water and sewer.

Report of a domestic disturbance in Ely — Officer reported that during his investigation it was determined that a battery had taken place. Anthony McShane age 29 of Ely was arrested for domestic battery. He is accused of battering his wife.

Report of a fight in Ely — Officer made contact with the parties involved who denied that any fight had taken place.

Report of a battery in Ely— Reporting party stated that while at a local casino he was battered by an individual. The individual was identified as Logan Urrizaga of Ely. Urrizaga was issued a citation for battery.

Report of a man down in Ely — Officer contacted the individual who was intoxicated and laying on the sidewalk. A friend escorted the subject home.

August 22

Report of suspicious circumstances in Ely — The reporting party found what appeared to be blood on a parked vehicle. The area was checked, but the source of the substance could not be located.

Report of a welfare check in Ely — The subject was located and found to be ok.

Report of debris in Ely — Debris was allegedly falling from a vehicle. The vehicle was located and the driver was issued a citation for unlawful dumping on a public roadway.

Report of an arrest in Ely — Ely resident Tammy Watson was arrested during a traffic stop for a warrant and other vehicle violations.

Report of a hit and run in Ely — A vehicle allegedly struck a utility pole and fled the scene. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject in Ely — The problem was resolved when officers arrived.

Report of a problem with a subject in Ely — Deputies contact both subjects and found they had been involved in a civil disagreement. Both were advised to handle the issue through civil court.

Report of a shoplifter in Ely — Ely resident Edith Nance was issued a citation after taking property from a local shop without paying prior to leaving.

Report of an arrest in Ely — 38-year-old Las Vegas resident Leon Johnson was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Report of injury to property in Ely — Officer received a report of an individual who had broken a window on a local business establishment. The individual was located and identified as Anthony Searle age 25 of Ely. Searle was arrested for injury to property.

Report of a domestic disturbance in Ely — Officer contacted the parties involved who blamed each other for the incident. The parties were advised to keep the peace.

Report of an arrest in Ely — Officer reported that Ramos, Jesus C age 33 of Meridian, ID. was arrested on a Nevada Highway Patrol warrant.

Report of a scam — Reporting party stated that a pop up came up on his computer indicating it was from the Federal Government and that they were going to lock down his computer. He was advised it was a scam and to delete the pop up.

Report of an arrest in Ely — Officer reported that Brandi L. Jones age 28 of Ely was arrested on a Justice Court Township warrant from Pahrump, NV.

Report of harassment in Ely — Reporting party stated that a family member keeps threatening to punch her in the face. The reporting party is to obtain a protective order.

Report of an arrest in Ely — Officer reported that Melisa J. Nichols age 31 of Ely was arrested on a Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was looking in a vehicle. Officer contacted the individual who was looking at buying the car.

Report of a stolen vehicle in Ely — Officer received a report of a stolen vehicle out of the state of Washington. Officers located the vehicle and arrested Lesah T. Pleasant age 36 of Kennewick, WA for possession of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. David Kensey age 41 of Kennewick, WA who was a passenger in the vehicle was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of a possible burglary — Officer received a report of a vacant home that had been broken into.

Report of a reckless driver in Ely — Officer contacted the driver and issued her a warning about her driving patterns.

Report of a fight in Ely — Officer received a report of a fight between several females at a local bar. Officer contacted the parties involved and the investigation into the incident continues.

Report of a barking dog in Ely — The area was patrolled, but the dog was not located.

Report of an arrest in Ely — Officer reported that Kenny Shoning age 28 of Ely was arrested for DUI.

Report of cows in the roadway — Officers herded the cows back into the enclosed field and secured the gate.

Report of a motorist assist — Officer assisted a motorist who had ran out of gas.

Report of a domestic disturbance in Ely — Officer contacted the reporting party who was uncooperative in providing information on what had taken place. The other party involved had fled the area.

Report of a lost wallet in Ely — Reporting party stated that she had lost her wallet while at a local store.

Report of a battery in Ely — Reporting party stated that he was arguing with a friend about selling a computer and that the friend pushed him. The parties involved were contacted and advised to stay away from each other.

Report of threats in Ely — Reporting party stated that she had heard that someone was going to file a complaint about her not taking care of her horse. Officer advised her that no complaint had been filed.

Report of a fight in Ely — Officer reported that when they arrived on scene the disturbance had dispersed. Officer made contact with an individual in the area who was identified as Lee J. Crumley age 19 of Ely. Crumley was arrested for minor in consumption.

Report of an alarm in Ely — False alarm.

Report of a reckless driver in Ely — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a dog problem — Officer reported that the owner of the barking dog was not at home. Contact will be made at a later date.

Report of a problem with a subject in Ely — Officer received a report of a female that was causing a disturbance at a local motel. Officer located the female and identified her as Brittany Best age 22 of Ely. Officer reported that Best was arrested for obstructing a police officer. She was also trespassed from the motel.

Report of an illegally parked vehicle — The vehicle was tagged for removal.

Report of a fraud in Ely — Reporting party stated that someone had obtained several cell phones in her name. The incident was documented and referred to the cell phone fraud department.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that he had backed into several items in his garage.

Report of possible child abuse in Ely — Reporting party stated that when her child returned from a visit with his father the child claimed that he had been spanked excessively. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident — John Szendrey of McGill was operating a vehicle traveling on the Larson Ranch Road. As his vehicle entered into a turn he failed to maintain control of the vehicle causing it to roll. Szendrey was taken to E.R. by ambulance. An accident report was completed.
