“Christmas through a Childs Eyes” has been chosen as the theme for the 2013 Christmas Parade. The club anticipates a variety of entries with this year’s theme.
The Christmas Crafters Festival opens at 10 a.m. on Dec. 7 at the Bristlecone Convention Center. Booths displaying a variety of handmade items for sale will fill the Convention Center between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
There are several new local crafters that will be displaying their talents. Our community is so fortunate with having extremely talented crafters sharing their talents with us.
The entire Convention Center will be festive with the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas along with the animation of Christmas. Nutcrackers, castles, snowflakes and drawbridges are just a few of the many decorations to give those attending a unique experience. There will be trees and holiday displays to tantalize young and old along with Santa Clause to delight the children.
Watch for the “new” street decorations around town. The club has been updating the decorations and we are excited about the new ones that the honor camp assisted in putting up this year. As always we encourage and rely on community feedback in developing our plans for the following year. Please let any member know what you like and what you don’t like or give the secretary a call at 296-0439 so she can pass along your suggestions. All suggestions are discussed and evaluated for implementation.
The club is pleased to continue these events for the enjoyment of the community. Please watch the newspaper and listen to the radio for updates on the Sights, Sounds and Smells of Christmas for this holiday season.
Remember, shopping at home insures the merchants can continue to supply your needs without having to leaving town.
