David Mathew Johnson

David Mathew Johnson born May 23rd 1967 was stricken with swine flu/pneumonia and passed away on December 18th 2013. A light has gone out from this world and a new star shines in heaven with the passing of our beloved husband, son, brother, and friend.

David is survived by his wife Vickie of Winnemucca, parents, Flynn and Glenys Johnson of Cherry Creek, sisters Rebecca of Missouri, Jennie of Georgia, maternal grandfather Wiley Brooks of Cherry Creek, paternal grandmother Thelma McKenzie & Bill of Arizona, niece Madolyn, nephews Nathaniel, Jonathon, and Joshua, stepchildren Shawn and Shannon, grandchildren Ellie and Irie.

Services will be held in Cherry Creek at the lower cemetery 11 am Friday December 27th 2013.

    Dave, you were like a brother, a best friend. Whenever one of us needed something we always knew the other one would be there. Thanks for all the Awesome memories we shared, the trips to Cherry Cherry Creek, the many years at work, for sharing your family with us. This is not Good By Dave but see you later buddy. We love you and will miss you but will keep your memory alive in our hearts.

    Although I didn’t know you as well as most I considered you a friend. One of my fondest memories of you was in Reno smoking a cigarette underneath a no smoking sign and then the hospital security telling you that you couldn’t do that. Joke was on them because you did it anyway. You will be missed. My condolences to your family. I wish I could have made it to the service.
