Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter or elsewhere in the newspaper that are leased by law enforcement agencies that include the WPCSO, Nevada Highway Patrol, Ely Shoshone Tribal Police and other local, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies.
Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed a neighbor asked him to call 911. Officers contacted the neighbor, who requested an ambulance because she fell. The subject was transported to the hospital.
Report of an unattended death — Arien Earl Wise passed away at his home from natural causes.
Report pf a problem with a subject — A female subject, identified as 56 year old McGill resident Cheryl Beck, was loitering in a local business. Beck was asked to leave several times, but refused. Beck was arrested for trespassing.
Report of a dog bite — The reporting party claimed to have been bitten by a dog while tending to said canine. A report was completed.
Report of threats — The reporting party claimed a male subject had repeatedly called and threatened and harassed her. Contact was made with the suspect and he was advised not to make any more calls. The reporting party called a second time and claimed the suspect was still calling her. A citation will be issued to the caller for annoying phone calls.
Report of a suicidal subject — Contact was made with the subject, who said he was not going to harm himself. The subject contacted mental health.
Report of suspicious subjects — Two subjects were allegedly conducting business without a license. The subjects were warned and directed to make sure they have the proper licenses.
Report of a burglary — The reporting party claimed someone entered her vehicle and took property. The investigation continues.
Report of a business alarm — The building was checked and found to be secure.

Report of an accident — Jonathan Gust, of Ely, slid on the ice in front of a vehicle driven by Frank Daniels, also of Ely. Daniels’ vehicle struck Gusts’. A report was completed.
Report of an alarm — The residence was checked and appeared ok.
Report of a hit and run — A vehicle reportedly struck a sign and then fled the area. The vehicle was later located and the driver, identified as McGill resident Zachary Lawrence, was issued a citation for hit and run causing property damage.
Report of a private property accident — Francisco Cisneros-Molina of Las Vegas, slid on the ice and struck a fixed object in a parking lot. A report was completed.
Report of fraud — The reporting party claimed someone intercepted a check sent to their daughter and fraudulently altered and cashed it. The investigation continues.
Report of a reckless driver — The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
Report of a hit and run — A vehicle struck a street sign and then fled the area. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he was having a problem with his ex-wife during child custody exchange. Reporting party wanted things changed in his custody papers. He was advised to contact a attorney.
Report of an embezzlement — Reporting party stated that the ex-manager of a local store had embezzled funds. Investigation continues.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that a juvenile had battered his mother. The juvenile was transported to the Elko Detention Center.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend came to her home and damaged her door. Reporting party wanted the incident documented.

Report of a violation of a protective order — Reporting party stated that she is receiving e-mails from her ex-husband which is a violation of a protective order she has against him. Investigation continues.
Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that he recently broke up with his girlfriend. He stated that they have a child together and wanted to know how visitations worked. He was advised to obtain a court order for custody rights through the local District Court.
