December 31, 2013
Report of a suicidal subject:
City – the reporting party claimed a female relative was suicidal and had locked herself in her house with a gun.  Contact was made with the female, who denied being suicidal, but admitted to being depressed.  The female was given a ride to a friend’s house.
Report of suspicious circumstances:
City – the reporting party claimed to be hearing a strange noise in her house.  The deputy discovered it was her carbon monoxide detector, and changed the battery for her.
Report of fireworks:
City – a deputy observed fireworks in the sky, but was unable to locate the origin.
Report of a domestic dispute:
City – deputies arrived and determined Kelly Malaperdas used force or violence against a person he was in a dating relationship.  Malaperdas was determined the primary physical aggressor and taken into custody within 24 hours of the battery.
Report of a domestic disturbance:
When deputies arrived, they found there was no fight, but people celebrating the New Year.  The occupants of the home were warned about disturbing the peace.
Report of a suspicious vehicle:
City – the reporting party claimed a vehicle was behind his home, making a strange sound.  When officers arrived, the vehicle was gone.

Report of a problem with a subject:
City – the reporting party complained that an underage person was in a local bar.  The deputy located the person, identified as Jordyn Jacobson, who was determined to be under 21 years of age.  Jacobson was cited for minor in consumption and loitering in a bar.
Report of a domestic dispute:
City – a deputy could hear a couple arguing.  The deputy later located the two subjects and warned them about disturbing the peace.
Report of a disturbing the peace:
City – a deputy could hear a male subject yelling.  The deputy located the male, identified as 35year old Robert Armijo, of Ely, using loud and tumultuous language in a public area.  Armijo was later arrested for disturbing the peace.
Report of a domestic dispute:
City – deputies responded to a report of two people fighting.  When they arrived, they found the couple had only been arguing.  The male subject, identified as 27 year old Terence Kelly Shaw, of Ely, was found to have a warrant.  Shaw was arrested on the warrant without incident.
Report of a welfare check:
City – the reporting party claimed a male was slumped over in his vehicle.  The vehicle was located and the occupant was found to be playing a video game.
Report of suspicious circumstances:
City – the reporting party claimed a male had abandoned a vehicle near his residence.  It was later discovered that the vehicle was legally parked and the owner was visiting his girlfriend nearby.
Report of a theft:
City – a local inn keeper reported a tenant had left and taken some of the linens.  The tenant was located and claimed it was an accident and returned the property.
Report of a problem with a subject:
City – the reporting party claimed a roommate had items in the house he didn’t want his children to see.  The roommate agreed to remove said items.
Report of a problem with a subject:
The reporting party claimed his wife jumped from their moving vehicle.  Deputies contacted the wife who claimed her husband had problems and she got out of the car because she couldn’t deal with them.  Both subjects agreed to separate for the night.
Report of a hit and run:
A vehicle was driven recklessly, which caused it to strike a utility pole.  The driver then fled the scene.  The investigation continues.

Report of suspicious circumstances:
Reporting party stated that she had seen a vehicle parked off the roadway and a subject laying near by. Officer located the vehicle and the subject and identified him as Bryan C. Dehart age 37 of Winnemucca, NV. During the officers investigation it was determined that Dehart had stolen the vehicle from a local business in Winnemucca. Dehart had driven the vehicle off the roadway and struck a fence. Dehart was arrested for possession of stolen property.
Report of property damage:
Reporting party stated that someone had scratched several names into a bathroom mirror at his place of employment.
Report of unsuitable living conditions:
City — officer reported that several individuals and children were living in a home where there was no water or sewer available. The individuals were contacted and removed from the residence. D.C.F.S. was also notified.
