Feb. 5
Report of a broken water line — Officer reported that no water line was broken, but a hose had been left running at a local residence. The owner of the home was notified and advised of the problem.
Report of a bad check — Reporting party stated that he had received two checks at his place of business that were returned for non-sufficient funds. The investigation into the issuer of the checks continues.
Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the individual who was causing the disturbance and advised him to keep the peace.
Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the child and his parent and reported that the child was in good health and no problems were located.

Feb. 6
Report of a welfare check — The subject was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Report of a civil problem — The reporting party had questions in regards to landlord/tenant laws.
Report of a reckless driver — The reporting party claimed a vehicle had run him off the road.  The driver was later located, who claimed to have had a medical issue.  The driver was warned about his driving.
Report of a reckless driver — A vehicle reportedly passed a school bus, which was stopped and offloading children.  The driver was later located and issued a citation.
Report of a welfare check — The subject was located and their salubriousness was found to be adequate.
Report of a burglary — The report was unfounded.  The alleged suspects were playing “cops and robbers.”

Report of an attempted suicide — Officer contacted the individual and she was taken to E.R. for medical assistance.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over the use of a vehicle. The parties involved worked the problem out. They were advised to keep the peace.
Report of a vehicle violation — Officer located the vehicle which had expired registration. The responsible party was advised to remove it from the city street.
Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that when she was doing her taxes she was informed that a dependant error had occurred. A report was completed to be filed with the IRS.
Report of a possible child abuse — Officer investigated the incident and reported that no crime had occurred.
Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted Ely Animal Control on a dog at large problem.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Garry J. Beckwith age 60 of Ely was arrested for cell phone use and D.U.I. #1
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted one of the parties involved who claimed she had been battered by her boyfriend. The boyfriend had left the area. Investigation continues.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a individual has been recording her telephone conversations with out her consent. Investigation continues.
Report of a death — Officer reported that a inmate at Ely State Prison had died. Investigation into the death continues
Report of a bad check — The check was collected and turned over to the District Attorneys Office for collections.
Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.
Report of theats — Reporting party stated that she heard a individual make threats towards his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. All the parties involved were contacted and no problems were located.
Report of a 911 hang up — Officer contacted the caller who stated that her small child had been playing with the phone.

Report of a harassment — Reporting party stated that a individual had made a rude comment about her of Face Book. She was advised to block the individual from her Face Book account.
Report of a suspicious phone call — Reporting party stated that he is receiving phone calls where the caller just says hi, but nothing else. He was advised to have the callers number blocked.
Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individuals and reported that they were fine.
Report of a fight — Officer contacted the parties involved who were involved in a verbal argument. The parties separated for the night.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted Tribal Police on a noise disturbance
Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that her tire was flat on her vehicle. Officer inspected the tire, but could not locate any damage.
Report of parking violation — The vehicle was tagged for removal.
Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual who was intoxicated and yelling. He was advised to leave the area and to keep the peace.
Report of a 911 hangup — Officer contacted the caller who was physical upset, but requested no assistance.
Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that a light was on inside a vacant building. The building was checked and found to be secured. The owner of the building was notified.
Report of a barking dog — Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised him of the complaint.

Feb. 10
Report of an accident/private property — Patricia Hernandez of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling in a private parking lot. Due to icy conditions the vehicle she was operating slid into a fence. A accident report was completed.
Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that his ex-girlfriend was refusing to give him his property that he had left at her home. The ex-girlfriend was contacted who denied that any property was at her house. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she had a problem with a coworker at her place of employment. The incident was documented.
Report of a parking violation — Officer located the vehicle which was tagged for removal.
Report of a accident — Report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her cell phone had been stolen at school. Officer located the phone in possession of another juvenile The juvenile suspect was detained and later released to his parent. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that his vehicle had been stolen several days ago. The reporting party stated that he had located the vehicle stuck on the Golf Course. During the officers investigation it was determined that the reporting party had driven the vehicle onto the golf course and had become stuck. The reporting party then used a county tractor to attempt to get his vehicle unstuck. The tractor also became stuck. He then filed a false report that his vehicle had been stolen. The reporting party was identified as Darren G. Marsh age 42 of McGill. Marsh was arrested for trespassing, filing a false police report, and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.

Feb. 11
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that someone was loitering near his home. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.
Report of an abandoned vehicle — Officer located the vehicle which was parked at a local business. The owner of the property was advised he could have the vehicle towed.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had siphoned gas from his vehicle.
Report of a suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that a vehicle was running inside of a garage. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and no problems were reported.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen his slot card and had been using it at a local casino. Investigation continues.
Report of a parking problem — Officer located the vehicle and contacted the owner. The owner advised that the vehicle had broken down. The owner was advised to have the vehicle removed.
