Gary Franklin Dolfin of Challis, Idaho passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah after courageous battle with liver disease.
He was born December 5, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Hilder and Frank Dolfin. He married the love of his life, Judy Marks, in 1980. They lived in Las Vegas most of their life. To this union there were no children.
He retired form the Teamsters Local 631. They then moved to Challis in 2007 and he went to work for Idaho Department of Fish and Game. He loved living in this area and enjoyed hunting and fishing. It was his life long “dream” retirement.
He was a hard worker and a great neighbor, always willing to help whenever needed. He will be greatly missed by many, especially Smoky his dog who was joined at his hip. He had two other dogs that he also cared for.
Survivors include his wife Judy Marks Dolfin of Challis; sisters Francis Leville of Arizona, Dorothy Marich of Ruth, Nevada, Bonnie Brunson of Las Vegas, Truly Dolfin of McGill, Nevada; mother and father in-law Frank and Elaine Marks; and sisters-in law Maxine Marks Albright and Lori Marks Dunaway all of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Wayne Dolfin.
Cremation has been performed and a Celebration of Life will be held in Ely, Nevada, March 1, 2014 at 1st Baptist Church, 701 Avenue N, at 2 p.m.
