With St. Patrick’s Day right around corner on Monday, the Ely Times gathered a list of places in town that will be a pinching and sham-rocking good time to celebrate the leprechaun-iest holiday there is. Follow this rainbow to the end and you just might find that mythical pot of gold, or at least some green beer.

Champs Bar will be throwing its annual St. Patrick’s Day party with the holiday’s signature dish corn-beef and cabbage with green beer. The love for the emerald isle extends beyond just food coloring, with drink specials on all Irish liquors.

Racks Bar and Grill will be holding raffles and giveaways during their celebration. Menu items will include corn-beef and cabbage, red potatoes and carrots, green beer and green Fireball shots. The bar will also be selling limited edition Racks 2014 green shamrock hats for $20.

Club Rio will offer free corn-beef and cabbage, green beer as well as drink specials. For those looking for a little liquid courage to bust out an Irish line dance, Manager Cari Matyja said we’re going to knock down all beer and drink prices.”

Don’t want to go to a bar? The White Pine Senior Center will offer a traditional Irish lunch special with corn-beef, cabbage and carrots. The lunch will start at noon, though it is recommended to get there early. Prices for the lunch are a suggested donation of $3 for seniors, $4 for someone under 60 accompanying a senior, or $6 for someone under 60.

All Aboard Bed and Bistro will join in on the fun and festivities with their take on the corn-beef and cabbage dish as well as a fresh shepherd’s pie and homemade rolls. There’s even a special dessert in the works thats sure to make you tip your tall green hat to the kitchen. All Aboard will extend its hours beyond their usual close time until 8 p.m. on Monday.

And to those who want to get in the Irish spirit without a hangover the next day, the Flower Basket has a variety of specialty coffees like the Irish Dancer, Pot ‘O Gold or the Leprechaun. Or ditch the coffee beans and go for the Shamrock Italian soda or the Emerald Isle pistachio milkshake. The Flower Basket also offers St. Patrick’s Day gift mugs, stained glassware and more.

Remember to make a wish if you find a four-leaf clover and to drink responsibly or designate a driver so you don’t end up in a paddy-wagon at the end of the night.
