MARCH 11, 2014

Report of an illegal drug use — Reporting party stated that there was a party taking place at a local apartment complex and that there was illegal drugs being use. Officer checked the area and no party was located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Tommie Williams age 32 of Phoenix, AZ was arrested for headlamps required and driving suspended.

Report of suspicious subjects — Officer received a report of several individuals hanging around a local church. The individuals were contacted who stated that they were waiting for a friend.

Report of a barking dog — Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised him of the complaint. The owner took the dog inside the residence.

Report of a horse stuck in a fence — When the officer arrived on scene the horse had freed itself.

Report of a dog bite — Deputy Andy Overson reported that while he was attempting to make contact with a occupant of a residence he was bitten by the individuals dog. Deputy Overson received medical attention at E.R. The dog was quarantined at the local dog pound and citations will be issued to the owner of the dog.

Report of possible child abuse — Reporting party stated that when her child came home from a visit with her father the child had bruising on her buttock. Officers are attempting to contact the father. Investigation continues.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that a individual had made several threats towards him over money issues. The individual making the threats was contacted who denied the allegations.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that she is in the process of renovating a home and someone broke in and stole several tools.

Report of inappropriate behavior — Reporting party stated that he had observed two individuals involved in sexual activity in a public place. Reporting party stated that the individuals involved were juveniles. Officer will contact the juveniles and their parents. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident — Officer received a report of a vehicle accident on the Preston Loop Road. Officer reported that the operator of the vehicle was identified as Anthony Delgrande of Lund. Delgrande had taken a vehicle without the owners permission and while operating the vehicle he allowed it to drift off the roadway causing it to roll. Delgrande was taken to E.R. by ambulance. Investigation continues.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her car had been moved from its parking spot and believes she knows who had taken it. Investigation continues.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that her son had been receiving threats on his Facebook page. Reporting party wanted the incident documented so she could obtain a protective order.

Report of possible child abuse — Reporting party stated that she observed a child with a black eye. Officer will contact the parents of the child to obtain information on how the child was injured.

Report of a possible sexual assault — Officer contacted the victim who stated that she had been in a argument with a individual and during the argument the individual had removed her jacket. Officer reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of a individual causing a disturbance at a local motel. Officer contacted the individual who was under the influence. The individual had sustained self inflicted injures and she was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of a possible fraud — Officer received a report of a individual trying to obtain a prescription using fraudulent means. The report was given to the TASK Force who reported that during their investigation they arrested Jennifer Logan age 33 of Ely. Logan was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to obtain a controlled substance.

Report of vandalism — Officer reported that several street and stop signs had been spray painted.

Report of found property — The bicycle was placed into lost and found.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted Ely Tribal Police on trespassing a individual who was causing a disturbance at a local residence.

Officer reported that during his investigation Elroy Mike age 55 of Ely was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. Mike is accused of threatening to harm his wife with knife. Investigation continues.

MARCH 13, 2014

Report of injury to property — The reporting party found damage to equipment belonging to his employer.  A report was completed.

Report of an animal problem — The reporting party complained about a neighbor’s livestock running at large.  Contact will be made with the owner and a report will be forwarded to the Brand Inspector.

Report of a juvenile problem — The reporting party claimed two juveniles had threatened to burn three other juveniles with a lighter and burn down a local school.  The two juveniles we contacted and denied the allegations.  The investigation continues.

Report of a dog problem — The reporting party complained about a dog running at large.  Contact was made with the owner and was warned about the dog.

Report of a civil issue — The reporting party claimed two people were harassing him by negatively reviewing his employer due to his criminal history.  He was advised this was not a crime.

Report of a accident / arrest — Officer reported while investigating a private property accident he made contact with one of the parties involved. The individual was identified as Kathy Mayer age 55 Ely. During the officers investigation Mayer was arrested for D.U.I. and notice of accident to police.

Report of unlawful use of prescription medication — The report was given to the TASK Force.

Report of several bad checks — The checks were collected and turned over to the D.A. for collections.

Report of identity theft — Reporting party stated that he received a telephone call from a collection agency demanding payment on a past due bill. The reporting party stated that he is not behind on any of his bills. The reporting party was advised it was possibly a scam and to monitor his credit.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a vehicle was parked at his shop and someone had stolen several parts off it.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that while his vehicle was parked at a local business someone scratched it with a sharp object.

Report of a possible fraud — Reporting party stated that a business had charged his credit card without performing any work. The company was contacted who reversed the charge.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported while conducting follow up on a case he observed an individual who had been trespassed from the property. The individual had returned to the property. The individual was identified as Christopher Wallace age 29 of Ruth. Wallace was arrested for trespassing.

Report of several arrests — Officer reported that he had stopped a vehicle for speeding in the Ely area. During the officers investigation several occupants in the vehicle were arrested. Dakota M. Hunt age 22 of Ely was arrested on a Probation violation and Brittany J. Valdez age 19 was arrested on a District Court warrant. The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for speeding.
