Report of a citizen assist — Officer made contact with a individual who had activated her medical alert alarm. The officers assisted the individual until family members arrived.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer made contact with the parties involved who had been involved in a verbal argument. The parties involved were a father and daughter who had engaged in a verbal argument over the daughters defiance. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a sexual assault — Reporting party stated that several years ago she had been sexually assaulted by a family member. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he was having some problems with a subject over the payment of a bill. Reporting party only wanted the incident documented.

Report of a dog problem — A dog was reportedly running at large attempting to enter a local convenience store.  Animal Control was advised.

Report of injury to property — The reporting party claimed damage had occurred to an unoccupied building.  A report was completed.

Report of a non-injury accident — Taylor Draper, of Ely, was stopped at a stop sign and began to back up, striking the vehicle behind her being operated by Sandra Salazar, of West Wendover.  Draper was later issued a citation for unsafe backing and violation of an instructional permit.

Report of a non-injury accident — Raymond Birmingham, of Ely, reported striking a cattle guard while driving on a dirt road.  A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed another male subject had been beleaguering him.  Both subjects were advised to abstain from all superfluous confabulation.

Report of unwanted messaging — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend keeps sending her text messages. The ex-boyfriend was contacted and advised to stop his contact with the reporting party.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that someone keeps leaving items on his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a truancy — The juvenile will be issued a citation for truancy and a report will be sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a found gun — The owner was contacted and advised to claim it at the Sheriff’s Office.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had been engaged in a verbal argument. One of the parties involved collected his personal items and left the residence.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Sharina M. McGarrah age 21 of Ruth was arrested on a Ely Justice Court warrant for removal of child from lawful custody.

Report of a dog bite — Reporting party stated that he had been bitten by a dog while at a friends home. Officer reported that the friend lived in another county. A report was completed.

Sarah Corkum age 24 of Ruth was arrested for domestic battery. She is accused of battering a individual whom she has a dating relationship with.

Report of an intoxicated subject — Officer located the individual who was sitting near the roadway and had sustained a injury. He was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of an accident — Danny Ainsworth of Ely reported that he struck a deer with his vehicle while traveling on US 6. A report was completed.

She cashed the check and sent a portion of the money back to a individual who was supposed to come and pick the item up. The reporting party stated that the check was fraudulent and she is out the money. Investigation continues.

Report of a possible trespasser — Reporting party stated that they watch a home for a friend, due to the friend has moved. Reporting party stated that today a individual was wondering around the yard of the home. When officers arrive the individual had left the area.

Report of a parking problem — The operator of the vehicle was contacted and advised to move his vehicle.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her grandchild had stolen a item from the store. The child was advised of the consequences.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that her daughter who is under age is involved in a dating relationship with a male adult. Officers are attempting to locate the male adult.

Report of a civil problem— Reporting party stated that she deposited some money into a friends account to do some work on her home. The friend did some of the work and has now moved from the area. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of an accident — Jon Shaw of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling east on Mineral Drive. As Shaw negotiated a turn in the roadway he lost control of his vehicle and struck a fence. Shaw was taken to E.R. by ambulance and a report was completed.

Report of a problem with a neighbor — Reporting party stated that his neighbor was yelling at him over a civil problem The reporting party wanted the incident documented in case of future problems.

Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that his daughter was spending time with her mother and he found out that she had left the child alone. He then went and picked the child up and took her home. The incident was documented.

Report of an accident — Brandy Ator of Ruth was operating a vehicle traveling on County Road 44. Due to snowy road conditions she lost control of her vehicle which left the roadway causing it to roll. A accident report was completed. Ator was issued a citation for due care.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Report party stated that they located a loose cable on a cell tower. Officer reported that the cable was reattached and no further problems were reported.
