On May 10, battling the wind, the dirt and all the elements, 14 Girl Scouts and eight adults pitched in together and picked up trash. We started at the fence of the new pool and continued to the corner of Great Basin Blvd. The girls gathered 26 bags of trash (tall kitchen can size). Venturing down the highway, another 15 bags of trash was gathered by the empty lots in front of Arby’s and Ridley’s. Two hours of gathering turned into hunger and we marched down to the Copper Queen and enjoyed a pizza party for a Community Service Project well done.
