In loving memory of our mother Mrs. Lois Sefton, March 26, 1941 – May 5, 2014
Lois English Sefton, 73, of Ely, Nevada came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior on May 4th and went to be with Him on May 5th. She was born in Southern California to Marvin English and Maude Catherine Geel English. When Lois was 17 months old her birth mother passed away. Lois was raised by her father and step-mother, “O.B.”
Lois cared for everyone she knew and always put others before herself. In the last 2 weeks of her life she was in the care of the incredible staff on the 3rd floor of the Roseview Tower at Renown hospital in Reno, Nevada. Lois was more concerned for the staff than herself.
She was always kind, gentle, giving and thoughtful. “Mrs. Sefton” worked at Steptoe High School and cared about all of the students and the faculty.
Lois is survived by her daughter Cathy Paulk, her son David (Carrie) Sefton, grandsons Michael, Jonathon, Gregory, Joey and her stepbrother Larry Low. Lois was loved dearly by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all of the Doctors, Nurses, CNAs and other staff members at Renown Hospital who surrounded Lois and the family with genuine love and care. The family would also like to thank extended family, friends and neighbors who have been so helpful and supportive during this time.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 24th at 9:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Stake Center 900 Avenue E, Ely, Nevada.
