Lund has new champ

Lund High School has a new state champion.  Sophomore McCall Harness won the Division IV high jump last Friday in Carson City with a new school record jump of 5’1”. The previous record of 5’1/2” was set back in 1996 by Jamie McIntosh. McCall also scored team points by finishing 6th in the triple jump (30’4”), 7th in the long jump (14’4”), and 8th in the 100m (14.43). Junior Kelsea Reid scored 14 team points of her own by finishing 5th place in the long jump (14’8”), 100m (13.91), and the 200m (29.65).  She also finished 7th in the 400m (1:10.77). Together the two girls scored 30 team points, which put Lund High School in 7th place in the team standings of the 18 Div. IV schools represented at the meet.
