JUNE 14

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that an individual had made threats towards him. The individual was contacted who denied the allegation.

Report of a suspicious noise — The area was patrolled, but nothing was located.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that she received a phone call from a unknown person stating her grandson needed money. The reporting party contacted her grandson who didn’t make the call.

Report of a dog problem — Officer located several dogs that were without food and water. The owner of the dogs was identified as Tyrel Christensen of Ely. He was contacted and issued a citation for cruelty to animals.

Report of a dog at large — Officer reported that Ely Animal Control picked up the dog.

Report of a man with a gun — Officer received a report of an individual caring a firearm at a local store. When officers arrived the individual had completed his shopping and left the store.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that a vehicle had backed into a trailer. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer contacted the occupant of the residence and advised her to turn the music down.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop Shae D. Enriquez age 36 of Gridley, CA was arrested for possession of marijuana, tail lamps required and driving revoked.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she was receiving unwanted text messages from her ex-boyfriend. The incident was documented.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had scratched his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that an individual had stolen several items from his place of business. The individual was located and identified as Rita Wooldridge of Ely. She was issued a citation for petit larceny.

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of a dog at large. The owner of the dog was contacted and advised to keep the dog contained.

Report of a sheep at large — Officer attempted to catch the sheep, but was unsuccessful. The owner of the sheep was advised of the problem.

Report of a possible drunk driver — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and reported that he was not intoxicated.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local bar. Officer contacted the individual who was identified as Lance P. Burns age 49 of Ely. Burns was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant, for contempt of court.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that someone was attempting to enter into his home. The area was checked and no one was located.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that his vehicle was parked at his residence and sometime during the night another vehicle struck it. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

Report of a missing juvenile — Officer received a report of a possible run away from the state of Utah that was living in the Ely area. The juvenile was located and detained. She was later transported back to the state of Utah.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was at her home she is renting and was attempting to gain entry. Officer contacted the individual who stated that he had been hired by the owner of the home to do some painting. He was advised to let the renter of the home know before performing any work.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that he is renting a home and the owner of the home was refusing to fix several items in need of repair. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of suspicious calls — Reporting party stated that she is receiving calls on her phone and when she answers the phone no one is there. The reporting party was advised to have the calls blocked from her phone.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that his vehicle was parked in front of a local business. He stated that a vehicle drove by and struck his mirror. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop James Lincoln age 34 of Lacey, WA was arrested for basic speed, possession of cocaine and trafficking a controlled substance.

JUNE 19

Report of an arrest — A deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the occupants of the vehicle.  One of the passengers was identified as 23 year old Breanne Sugden, of Caldwell, ID. Sugden was later arrested for possession of a controlled substance.  Another occupant was issued a citation for possession of marijuana, less than an ounce.

Report of lost and found items — A wallet was found at a local eatery and was returned to the owner.

Report of an unattended death — Joy McClane Bybee passed away at his residence after succumbing to medical issues.

Report of harassment — The reporting party claims a subject called her and yelled at her.  The calling party was contacted and told not to call the reporting party anymore.

Report of an open door — The door was found agape on a jilted home.  It appeared an unknown subject marred the door upon making adit, but nothing else appeared to be purloined.  A report was completed.

Report of harassment — The reporting party claimed to have received text messages in regards to fighting another person.  A report was completed.

Report of threats — The reporting party claimed a male subject threatened him.  The reporting party just wanted the incident documented in case the problem continued.

Report of an alarm — The building was checked and found to be secure.

Report of fraud — The reporting party found several unauthorized transactions on his bank account and believes his ex-wife is the suspect.  The investigation continues.

Report of suspicious circumstances — There were reportedly several children jumping inside of a moving vehicle.  The area was checked, but the vehicle had left the scene.

Report of a welfare check — The subject was located and found to be in good health.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed a female passenger had gotten out of a vehicle and was yelling at the other occupants.  The vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.

Report of an arrest — A deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, identified as 45 year old Christopher Garcia, of Ely.  Garcia was later arrested for driving under the influence and various other traffic violations.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed a vehicle had been harassing his wife as she drove home.  The vehicle fled the area when confronted by the reporting party.  A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed a former boyfriend was refusing to give her personal property.  The boyfriend was contacted and claimed the reporting party already had the property.  Both were advised the issue was civil.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that several dogs were chasing horses. The owner of the dogs was contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Adalberto Sanchez age 46 of Riverside, CA was arrested for driving without a valid license and basic speed.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was yelling profanities at him while he was at a local business establishment. Officer is attempting to contact the individual.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that his ex-wife boyfriend was making threats towards him. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that her trailer come off the hitch while traveling down the roadway causing damage to the trailer.

Report of a theft — Officer made contact with several individuals who had items stolen while their vehicles were parked at a local parking lot. Investigation continues.

Report of an intoxicated pedestrian — Officer received a report of a intoxicated person laying on the sidewalk. Officer contacted the individual who was waiting for his wife to pick him up.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer reported that the vehicle was parked and unoccupied. No further action was taken.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had placed graffiti on a gas pump and on a bathroom mirror at a local business establishment. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and he was transported the E.R.

Report of a citizen assist — Officer assisted an individual whose vehicle had broken down on a rural highway.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that several individuals were removing scrap metal that belonged to him. Officer contacted the individuals who stated that they had received permission from a person they believed owned the metal. The metal was returned.

Report of a possible trespasser — The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of an accident — Darla Schemp of Ruth was operating a vehicle making a left hand turn form Aultman Street into a private drive. As she did so she failed to yield to a vehicle being operated by Ricki Ward of  Moapa, NV. Schemp was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way. An accident report was completed.

Report of an atv problem — Officer contacted the father and child and advised them to ride their motorcycle elsewhere.

Report of a subject threating suicide — The individual was contacted and the officer reported that she was fine.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of an individual who had been battered by her boyfriend. Officer contacted the parties involved and during his investigation Harry O. Deleon Jr. was arrested for domestic battery strangulation.
