Dorothy Alice Dolfin Marich

Young Dorothy-1Dorothy Marich pic 2-1Dorothy Alice Dolfin Marich, age 84 of Ruth, Nevada passed away July 20, 2014 in Ruth, Nevada.  She was born August 5, 1929 in Ely, Nevada to Frank and Mae Ruth Gifford Dolfin. She attended grade school and high school in Ely, Nevada and graduated from White Pine High School.

Dorothy married Michael Marich on July 24, 1948 in Eureka, Nevada. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Ely 1st Ward and also a member of the Slavic Fraternity. In years past Dorothy served on the Ruth Town Council.  Dorothy liked to go camping at Sunny Side and Murray Summit.  She enjoyed her flower gardens and traveling and she  adored her cat “Baby Girl” and truly loved her family.

Dorothy is survived by her children John (Sharon) Marich of Alamo, Nevada, Debra (William) Kingston of Ely, Nevada, Michelle (Curtis) Richins of Albion, Idaho, George (Karina) Marich of Ruth, Nevada, and Robert (Holly) Marich of Ely, Nevada.

She is also survived by her eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild and three sisters: Francis Leveille, Carolyn Shurtleff, and Bonnie Brunson, and two brothers: Jack Mulliner and Roger Mulliner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved stepfather John Mulliner, her husband Michael Marich, and her brothers Frank and Gary Dolfin.

Funeral Services were held Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ely LDS Stake Center.  Burial followed in the Ely City Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: John Marich, Bill Kingston, Joseph Kingston, TJ Ashby, Matthew Ashby, Bobby Marich, Ben Marich, and Curtis Richins, Jr. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to American Cancer Society and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
