White Pine County Sheriff’s Blotter Report

Submitted by the White Pine Sheriff’s Office for Aug. 19-26. Information and spellings of names contained in the blotter are as released by the WPCSO. Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter or elsewhere in the newspaper that are leased by law enforcement agencies that include the WPCSO, Nevada Highway Patrol, Ely Shoshone Tribal Police and other local, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies.

AUG. 19

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and he was fine.

Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that her ex-husband was not following their court ordered child custody agreement. She was advised that a report would be completed and to contact her attorney.

Report of a possible fraud — Reporting party stated that he had bought some items off the internet from an individual living in the Ely area, but the seller has not sent the items. Officer checked on the seller who resides in AZ. The information was provided to the reporting party.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at his home. The individual was contacted and he was taken to E.R. by a family member.

Report of a dog at large — The dog was captured and taken to the Dog Pound.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that his girlfriend moved out of his home and took some of his property. Officer investigated the incident and reported that the property was bought together. He was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of an intoxicated person — Officer received a report of an intoxicated person laying on the sidewalk. Officer reported that the person was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

New bookings — None.

AUG. 20

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that when she was passing several vehicles in her vehicle something hit her sunroof causing it to break. The incident was documented.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that several fire extinguishers had been stolen from his work trucks.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that a friend of hers took her for a ride in his vehicle and she felt that she wasn’t allowed to leave. When the friend stopped at a local business she got out and left the area. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual kept riding his motorcycle by his home. The reporting party confronted the individual and a confrontation occurred. During this argument another party involved exited a residence with a firearm displayed on her waist line. All the parties involved were contacted and interviewed. They were advised to stay away from each other and to let law enforcement handle disagreements.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had damaged his fence that secures his animals. The incident was documented.

Report of an accident / private property — Rodney Dilworth of Spring Creek, NV was operating a vehicle towing a trailer. As he was attempting to park his vehicle he struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle belonging to Florentino Razon of Las Vegas, NV. An accident report was completed.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer contacted the individuals involved who were working on a vehicle, revving the engine. They were advised of the complaint.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Lee E. Snyder age 25 of Henderson, NV was arrested for driving suspended

Report of an alarm — False alarm

Report of a fire — Reporting party stated that a wall heater in her home caught fire. The fire was out when officers arrived. She was advised to contact her landlord and if any more problems occurred to contact the Fire Department.

Report of an open door — Officer checked on the door which was a door to a storage unit and reported that it was secure.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer reported that a juvenile was detained for being out past the hours of curfew. She was later released to a family member.

New bookings — Lee E. Snyder / Driving suspended / Bail $840. Martin Trinida-Ramirez / Basic speed, driving without valid license and no insurance / Bail $1,010. / Arrested by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

AUG. 21

Report of a burglary — The reporting party claimed someone entered his home and took several items.  The investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The owner of the vehicle was located and claimed the vehicle was as it should be.

Report of an abandoned vehicle — The reporting party claimed a vehicle had been abandoned on his property.  He was advised how to have the vehicle removed.

Report of a red tagged vehicle — A vehicle, which appeared to be stored on a public roadway, was tagged for removal.

Report of a dog problem — The reporting party claimed to have been attacked by a dog.  Officers checked the reported area, but neither the reporting party, nor the dog was located.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed a male yelled something at him.  When he confronted him, the male threatened him.  The male was contacted and denied making the threat.  Both parties advised to stay away from each other.

Report of a music disturbance — The source of the music was located and the owner was advised and complied.

Report of a traffic hazard — The reporting party claimed a trailer was blocking the roadway.  It was discovered that a moving company was moving a trailer and the roadway was soon cleared.

Report of fireworks — Several subjects were allegedly lighting fireworks.  The subjects were located and advised and complied.

New bookings — Bradley Alan Ellingson / Escape – Burglary – Grand larceny of a motor vehicle / No Bail / Held for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office.

AUG. 22

Report of a disturbance — Officer received a report of a individual who had urinated on a public street. The individual was contacted and advised to leave the area.

Report of a parking problem — Officer received a report of several vehicles that were obstructing work being done on a roadway. The vehicles were tagged for removal.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had scratched her vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred. The vehicle was parked due to it breaking down.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen his cell phone while he was at work.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer patrolled the area but, no children playing in the roadway were located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic disturbance where a battery had taken place. During the officers investigation a local juvenile was detained for battering his parent. The juvenile was taken to the Elko Detention Center.

Report of a 911 hang up — Officer contacted the caller who advised he had called accidentally.

Report of a 911 hang up — Officer reported that no problems were reported at the residence. It was determined there was a phone problem.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individual who was suspected of trespassing at a closed business. No violations were substantiated.

New bookings — Harvey E. Lockwood / Justice Court warrant, contempt of court / Bail $277.

AUG. 23

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that his duffel bag had been stolen while he was staying at a local motel. The bag had been left in a storage area.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that a small child had been dropped off at the swimming pool with no adult supervision. The guardian of the child was contacted and advised to pick the child up.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that a mother and daughter had been engaged in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that he recently moved out of his apartment and needed to obtain the rest of his property. He was advised to contact his past roommate to make arraignments to pick it up.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was causing a disturbance at a local party. The individual was contacted and identified as Randy Mullins age 31 of Ely.  Mullins was arrested for disturbing the peace.

Report of a prowler — The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a dead dog — The dog was removed from the roadway.

AUG. 24

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the parties involved who engaged in an argument about getting more alcohol. The subject causing the problem was advised he had enough.

Report of a 911 hangup — Officer contacted the caller who was having a problem with the phone he was using. During the officers investigation Kevin Lillico age 23 of Ely was arrested on a Nevada Highway Patrol warrant for contempt of court

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Jose Garcia-Reyes age 42 of Reno, NV was arrested for basic speed and D.U.I. #1

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of several dogs running at large. The dogs were captured by animal control and a citation will be issued to the owner when located.

Report of a parking problem — The vehicle was removed by the owner.

Report of a person in the roadway — The individual was contacted and the officer reported that no problems had occurred.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation Malachi D. Olson age 22 of Ely was arrested for two counts of domestic battery. He is accused of battering two of his family members.

New bookings — Kevin Lillico / Nevada Highway Patrol warrant, contempt of court / No bail. Jose Garcia-Reyes /Basic speed and D.U.I. #1 Bail $1564. Malachi D. Olson / Two counts of domestic battery / Bail $6,000. Edward G. Flesher / Serving time.

AUG. 25

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that an individual kept calling her at her place of employment. The caller was contacted and advised to stop his contact with the reporting party.

Report of a possible fraud — Reporting party stated that he was selling a vehicle on the internet. He had possibly sold the vehicle to an individual who lives out of the country. He received a check from the individual, but the check appears fraudulent. Officer reported that during the investigation the check was deemed fraudulent and no transaction was proceeded with.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had cut his cable to his Direct TV. The incident was documented.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that her husband had damaged a window at their residence. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that a man was in her driveway when she came home from work. The man complained about her dogs barking. The man was located who stated that he did contact the reporting party about her dogs barking at night. He was advised to contact the Sheriff’s Officer if the problem persisted.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle which had struck a deer and was parked alongside the roadway.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that David T. Delvecchio age 70 of McGill was arrested on a Ely Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court.

Report of a missing juvenile — Officer reported that the juvenile had gotten onto the wrong school bus. The child was located and returned to her parents.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer contacted the responsible party and advised him of the complaint.

Report of a noise disturbance — The area was patrolled, but nothing was located.

Report of a possible burglary — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his residence and removed some money. Investigation continues.

AUG. 26

Report of an animal — A deputy located a deer, which had been hit and was in the roadway.  The animal was removed.

Report of a theft — The reporting party claimed someone stole equipment off of his vehicle.  A report was completed.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The reporting party claimed someone had parked a vehicle in her driveway.  When officers arrived, the vehicle was gone.

Report of a stolen vehicle — The reporting party claimed someone stole his vehicle from in front of his residence sometime during the night.  The investigation continues.

Report of a trespasser — Upon officers arriving, the alleged trespasser was gone.

Report of a trespasser — The subject left the property prior to officers arriving.

Report of a trespasser — The reporting party claimed someone was trespassing in one of his rentals.  It was discovered the subject had not yet been properly evicted.  The subject was contacted and served an eviction notice.

Report of an arrest — Randy Rowley, of Ely, was arrested for driving an unregistered vehicle with a revoked driver’s license.  Incident to his arrest, drug paraphernalia was located in his possession.

Report of a fight — Two female subjects were involved in a physical altercation.  Neither wanted to pursue criminal charges and went their separate ways.

Report of a welfare check — The subject was located and found to be in well.

New bookings — Clint Buckner / Contempt of court / Bail $1,790. Randy Wade Rowley / Off-highway vehicle upon a paved roadway – driving revoked –possession of drug paraphernalia / Bail $1,210.
