NOV. 5

Report of a found bike — The bike was placed into lost and found.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Sam K. Bida age 50 of Ely was arrested for evading a police officer, D.U.I., driving suspended, aggressive driving, failure to yield, and operating an off highway vehicle on a roadway.

Report of a prowler — The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a stolen vehicle — Officer contacted the reporting party who was unaware a friend had borrowed it. The reporting party requested no further investigation be done.

Report of an ATL — The individual was located in Elko, NV.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that an individual was posting things about him on Face Book. Officer viewed the information and found nothing threatening or any violation of law.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Russell L. Bainbridge age 24 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant.

Report of threats — Officer assisted school officials on a possible threat towards a student.

Report of a truant student — Officer received a report of a juvenile who has been missing a lot of school. Officer is attempting to contact the parent and student.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that she owns a home in the Ely area and believes someone is living in it without her permission. Officer reported that an individual doing repairs to the home appears to be living in it. The owner of the home wanted him removed. Contact was made with the individual doing the repairs and he was advised.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a problem with a landlord — Reporting party stated that his landlord advised him he needed to move out. The reporting party was advised of the eviction process.

Report of a battery — Reporting party stated that she had been battered by her employer. Officer contacted the employer who denied the allegation. The reporting party requested no further investigation be done.

Report of lost and found keys — Reporting party found a set of keys in the Duck Creek area. They were placed into lost and found.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that his vehicle had broken down on US 50. He left it there and when he returned someone had entered it stealing his spotting scope and binoculars. Investigation continues.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he had cashed his pay check and placed the money in a box on his dresser. The money in now missing. Reporting party stated he believes a family member stole it. Investigation continues.

Report of a missing juvenile — Officer received a report of a juvenile who didn’t return home after school. The juvenile was located and returned home.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had turned the water on to a vacant home. The water was turned off and the home was checked for any occupants

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of an ATL — Officer received a report of an emergency message that needed to be delivered.  Officer was unsuccessful in locating the person to deliver the message.

Report of a possible fight — Officer received a report of several subjects at a local bar causing a disturbance. The individuals were contacted and no problems were reported.

NOV. 6

Report of a barking dog — The reporting party complained about a neighborhood dog barking.  Contact was made with the owner, who agreed to move the dog indoors.

Report of a reckless driver — The reporting party complained about a reckless driver.  Contact was made with the driver and he was warned about his driving.

Report of a juvenile problem — A student at a school was reportedly creating a disturbance.  The student was later taken into custody and released to his parents.  A report will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a reckless driver — The vehicle was located and observed violating a traffic law.  The driver, identified as Shannon Potter, was issued a citation for various traffic violations and the vehicle was towed.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Contact was made with the parties and the incident was deemed to be a verbal only.  Both parties separated for the night.

Report of an arrest — 24 year old Levi Garcia, of Ely, was arrested on a warrant for domestic battery.

Report of a private property accident — Sofia Davis, of Ely, was backing from a parked position and struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle.  A report was completed.

Report of an arrest — A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and contact made with the driver, identified as 20 year old Isaac Wheeler, of Ely.  Wheeler was later arrested for driving without a valid license.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — A vehicle was reportedly indolently driving through a neighborhood, repeatedly.  Contact was made with the driver, who moved along.

NOV. 7

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that his trailer had been parked by his residence and someone had struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted the Care Center with a patient that had left the facility. He was returned without incident.

Report of a scam — Reporting party stated that he received a telephone call indicating a family member was in jail and he needed bail money. The reporting party was advised it was indeed a scam and discontinue any contact with the caller.

Report of a bad check — Officer received a report several subjects who had stolen some personal checks from an individual and proceeded to cash them at a local casino. Officers have identified the individuals and are attempting to locate them.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Kelli J. Bronson age 45 of Ely was arrested on an Elko Justice Court warrant.

Report of found explosives — Reporting party stated that he had located several explosive devices inside an abandoned mine. BLM was contacted and the Sheriff’s Office will work with them to dispose of the items.

Report of an ATL — The individual was located and was fine.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that a father and son had been involved in a verbal argument. The parties separated for the night.

Report of a juvenile party — The area was patrolled, but no party was located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer reported that when he arrived on scene the reporting party and all others involved had left the area.

Report of possible gun shots — The area was patrolled, but nothing was located.

Report of a 911 hangup — The occupant of the residence was contacted who stated that her phone had stopped working. Officer reported that there was a problem with the phone line.

Report of a stolen vehicle — Reporting party stated that he had sold a motorcycle to an individual and he hasn’t received full payment for it. He was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that her ex-husband made a threat to harm her dogs. The ex-husband was contacted who denied making the threats.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a barking dog — The owner of the dog was contacted and advised of the problem, He was issued a warning.

Report of fireworks — The area was patrolled, but no fireworks were located.

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of a dog at large being hit by a vehicle, the dog was captured and returned to its owner.

Report of an accident — Andrew Payne of Alameda, CA was operating a vehicle traveling on US 93 when he struck an elk. A report was completed.

Report of an agency assist — Officer’s assisted the Care Center with a patient that had walked away from the facility. He was returned to the Care Center.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Reporting party stated that a vehicle keeps driving around her home with its head lights off. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a possible drunk driver — Officer reported that the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her boyfriend had come to her home uninvited and she wants him removed. Officer contacted the boyfriend who was advised to leave the area. He complied.

NOV. 10

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had broken a hasp off a storage shed at his place of employment. The incident was documented.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officers received a report of an individual entering into a home unlawfully and committing a battery upon a person in the home. During the officers investigation Theodore I Jackson age 42 of Ely was arrested. Jackson was arrested for burglary and battery. He is accused of forcing himself into a residence and striking one of the occupants in the home.

Report of an accident — Officers received a report of a vehicle accident located on State Route 892 at County Road 1. Officers are still investigating the incident.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen her key to her home. Officer reported that the key might have been misplaced instead of stolen.

Report of an open door — Officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door was secured.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that she received a check in the mail indicating she had won a lottery. The reporting party cashed the check and sent a large portion of the funds back to the issuer, per the agreement of winning the lottery. The reporting party later found out the check didn’t clear the bank. The check was a fraud. The incident was documented.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer located the operator of the vehicle and advised him of the complaint that had been filed against him. He was issued a warning.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her neighbor shines his headlights from his vehicle into her window at her home. The neighbor was contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of a fight — Officer received a report of a fight that had occurred at a local bar. Officer contacted the parties involved who were not forth coming with information on what had taken place. Some of the parties involved were trespassed from the bar by an employee. The incident was documented.

Report of a domestic disturbance — The reporting party claimed to have been battered by a family member, but the family member fled prior to law enforcement arrival.  The investigation continues.

Report of suspicious subject — Officers checked the area for the discombobulated female, but she was gone when they arrived.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed a female was harassing her dogs and attempting to enter her home.  The female had left the area prior to law enforcement arrival.

Report of a suspicious subject — A subject was allegedly walking around cars parked near a business after normal business hours.  Deputies checked the area, but were unable to locate the subject.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed his wife damaged their home and took some property.  The wife was contacted and admitted to the acts.  Both parties were advised the issue was civil and to handle it as such.

Problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed his wife stole the sim card from his phone.  He was advised the issue was civil.
