NOV. 12

Report of fraud — The reporting party gave money to his girlfriend to pay their rent.  The girlfriend failed to pay and appears to have kept the money for herself.  The incident was deemed civil in nature.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was checked, but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed a male subject had trespassed on her property and was causing a disturbance.  The male was contacted and advised not to return.

Report of an accident —  Caleb Sumrall, of Ely, was driving straight when Samantha Peterson, of Ely, made a left turn in front of him, causing his vehicle to strike her vehicle.  The accident was investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol.  Peterson was later issued a citation.

Report of a fight — A male juvenile was repeatedly harassing and battering a female juvenile on a school bus, when the female struck the male.  A report was completed and will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.

Report of a dog bite — The reporting party claimed to have been bitten by a dog.  The dog owner, identified as Michelle Christie of McGill, was contacted and issued a citation for dangerous dog.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party observed headlights in a wilderness area.  The lights were found to be a vehicle.  No action taken.

Report of a lost dog — The reporting party reported her tan boxer was missing from her home.  A report was completed.

Report of a bad check — The reporting party claimed to have received a check for services rendered, but the check was returned due to the account being closed.  The investigation continues.

Report of a lost hunter — The hunter was located and reunited with his party.

Report of a dog problem — The reporting party claimed a dog was on his property and was growling and acting aggressive toward his wife.  The reporting party shot the dog.  The owner of the dog was later located and the dog was returned.

Report of threats — The reporting party claimed to be receiving threats from an unknown female.  A report was completed.

Report of a dog problem — The reporting party found a stray dog on her property.  Info passed onto Animal Control.

Report a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a public nuisance — Officer reported that an individual was living in a home where there was no running water and the electrical power was hooked up wrong. Officer requested the assistance of the City Building Inspector to inspect the residence.

Report of littering — Reporting party stated that someone was hauling boxes to the dump and they fell out of their vehicle and were in the roadway. The boxes were removed.

Report of a lost person — Officers received a report of an elderly female who had become lost on Garnet Hill. She was later located and was fine.

Report of an arrest — Jordan U. Edmo age 26 of Blackfoot, ID was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of an accident — Jesse Gomez of Ely was operating a vehicle on SR 490 when he struck a deer causing damage to his vehicle. An accident report was completed.

Report of threats / arrest — Officer received a report of an individual who was making threats to harm people. During the officers investigation Wade C. Mulliner age 43 of Ely was arrested for battery and three counts of harassment.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her daughter was physical upset and needed assistance. Officer reported that the daughter was already receiving counseling. She was advised to continue with that course of action.

Report of a parking problem — The owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised to move his vehicle.

Report of possible drug use —Reporting party stated that they thought someone was selling drugs at a local bar. The area was patrolled, but nothing was located.

Report of a death — Elva R. Eldridge age 93 of Ely died at her residence of natural causes.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of an inured dog — Officer received a report of a dog that had been hit by a vehicle. Officer located the dog, but was unable to catch it.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that the mother of his child refused to exchange the child for visitation rights. Officer contacted the mother who stated that a friend of the father came to pick up the child and she refused to let the child go with the friend. Officer reported that the two parents worked out the situation.

Report of injury to property — Reporting party stated that someone had thrown a rock at his windshield on his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a found wallet — The wallet was returned to the owner.

Report of an alarm — False alarm

Report of an accident — Officer reported that Denise Oxborrow was operating a vehicle when it slid on the icy roadway and struck a curb causing damage to the vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local business. When officers arrived the individual had left the area.

Report of a barking dog — Officer located the dog, but the owner was not at home. He will be contacted at a later time.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over ownership of a phone. The individuals separated for the night.

NOV. 16

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the father and son who were arguing over food. The parties separated and the son returned to his own residence.

Report of an accident — Officer received a report of a vehicle that had stuck a light pole and a fire hydrant. The operator of the vehicle then fled the scene. Officers later located him and identified him as Frank W. Paschall age 53 of Sparks, NV. He was arrested for D.U.I., possession of a firearm while intoxicated, hit and run property damage, and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted the Care Center with an agitated patient.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that two dogs are constantly running at large in her neighborhood. The area will be patrolled.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her boyfriend had recently gotten out of jail and she didn’t want him at her home. The boyfriend was contacted and advised to leave the home.

Report of an accident — Officer reported that Xavier Anderson of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Industrial Road when he allowed his vehicle to leave the roadway causing it to roll. He was taken to E.R. due to injuries he sustained in the accident along with a passenger in the vehicle. Investigation into the accident continues.

Report of an accident — Jayleen Barney of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Lackawanna Road when she became distracted and struck a stop sign. The incident was documented.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that someone had left a threatening note on their vehicle. Investigation continues.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that James F. Griffith age 43 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant for battery causing substantial bodily harm.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he is separated from his wife and today she has returned to his residence attempting to remove property. Both parties were contacted and they resolved the situation.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual had been wondering around a local store and they were afraid she was attempting to steal. The individual was contacted and advised of the complaint. The individual then left the business establishment. No theft had occurred.

Report of a welfare check — Officer checked on the child and reported that she was fine.

Report of a motorist assist — Officer assisted an individual whose vehicle had become stuck on an unmaintained roadway.

Report of a disturbance — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local apartment complex. Officer located the person causing the disturbance and she was issued a citation for disturbing the peace.

Report of a death — Officer reported that Sevastos Pavlakis age 82 of Ely died at his home due to natural causes.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved reported their disagreement was over.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of counterfeit money — Reporting party stated that their business had taken in a counterfeit bill. The bill was collected and the incident was documented.

Report of an ambulance assist — Officer assisted an elderly female who had fallen and needed medical assistance.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was fine.

Report of a parking problem — When officers arrived to the area where the problem was the vehicle had already left.

Report of property damage — Officer received a report of several signal signs and lights that were damaged. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she was showing a home to a possible renter and the neighbor next to the home was causing a disturbance. The neighbor was contacted and advised to keep the peace.

Report of theft of medication — Reporting party stated that someone had broken into her home and stole her mediation. Investigation continues.
