DEC. 30

Report of a citizen assist — Officer assisted the McGill ambulance with an elderly female who had fallen inside her home. The elderly female was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that her juvenile daughter was receiving unwanted text messages. Officer reviewed the messages and reported that they were degrading to the daughter. The sender of the messages was contacted and advised to stop his contact with the daughter.

Report of a lost wallet — Reporting party stated that he had lost his wallet while traveling through the Ely area. The incident was documented.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that someone had slept in her shed. Reporting party believes it was an individual she knows, but wanted to report it. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — Officer checked on the mother and child and reported that they were both fine.

Report of a child custody problem — Officer provided information to the reporting party about child custody issues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was attempting to take her own life. The individual was detained and taken to E.R.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that while his vehicle was parked another vehicle pulled up next to his and when the operator exited his vehicle he stuck the reporting parties vehicle with his door. The incident was documented and insurance information was exchanged.

Report of a welfare check — The area was patrolled, but the individual was not located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Tak-Tulen Sigrah age 37 of Ontario, OR was arrested for a violation of a protective order. Sigrah was traveling through the Ely area and was stopped due to a traffic violation. During the investigation it was determined he was in the company of a person listed on the protective order.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation James L. Pritchard Jr. age 22 of Roy, UT was arrested. Pritchard was arrested for domestic battery, assault with a deadly weapon and obstructing a police officer. He is accused of battering his girlfriend and threatening her with a knife.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of an ambulance assist — Officer assisted the Ely ambulance with a female who was having a seizure. The female was taken to the E.R. for medical attention.

Report of a welfare check — The mother and children were fine.

Report of a welfare check on a dog — Officer checked on the dogs and reported that they were fine.

Report of an ambulance assist — Officer assisted the Ely ambulance with an infant that had stopped breathing. The infant was taken to the E.R. for medical attention.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was dancing in the street. Officers patrolled the area, but he was not located.

Report of a welfare check on a dog — Officer checked on the dog and it was fine.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted Ely Tribal Police with a suicidal subject. The individual was taken to E.R. for medical attention.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted hospital staff with a patient that needed to be placed into a secured room.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that he was receiving threats from an individual through Face Book. The reporting party was advised to block the person leaving the threats.

JAN. 1

Report of a trespasser — Officer received a report of an individual who was at a local bar and he had been trespassed from the establishment at an earlier date. Officer located the individual and identified him as Dakota M. Hunt age 23 of Ely. Hunt was arrested for trespassing.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that she is receiving unwanted phone calls and the caller is threatening to harm her. Officer is attempting to locate the caller.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an underage person in a local bar. Officer contacted the person who stated that they were there to provide an intoxicated person a ride home. They were warned about loitering in a bar.

Report of a fight — Officer received a report of a fight at a local bar. The area was patrolled, but no fight was located.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was at a local bar and he possibly had a gun. Officer located the individual and identified him as Damon W. Reed age 36 of Las Vegas. During the officers investigation Reed was arrested for possession of a firearm while intoxicated, intimidating a police officer and resisting arrest.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that an individual had just cut the tires on her vehicle. The reporting party knew who the individual was and that he had fled the scene. Officers are attempting to locate him.

Report of a fight — Officer assisted Nevada Highway Patrol with a fight they had located while patrolling the Ely area.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that she is currently separated from her husband and that she has received several threats from him about destroying her property.  Investigation continues.

Report of an accident — Morris Jenek was operating a vehicle traveling on US 6 East when he struck an elk causing damage to his vehicle. A report was completed.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of an intoxicated subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was passed out at a local bar. Officers contacted the individual and identified him as Carl R. Calamity age 33 of Shonto, AZ. During the officers investigation Calamity was arrested for obstructing a police officer.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend keeps causing him problems. The ex-boyfriend will be contacted when located.

Report of a public nuisance — Officer received a report of trash being left on a sidewalk. The responsible party for the trash was contacted and advised to have it removed.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had placed spray paint on the high school. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check — The individuals were contacted and were fine.

Report of a broken water line — Officer assisted an individual who had a broken water line in his home. The water was turned off.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a dog at large — The area was patrolled, but the dog was not located.

Report of a disturbance — Reporting party stated that her neighbor was slamming doors in his apartment. The neighbor was contacted and advised to keep the peace.

Report of a burglary — Reporting party stated that an individual had stolen his keys and then used them to gain access to his home and steal money from his residence. Investigation continues.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a child custody problem — Reporting party stated that he was to meet the mother of his children to exchange custody, but she was not home. The parties involved were contacted and arraignments were made to leave the children with a family friend.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over finances. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of lost keys — Reporting party stated that she had lost a set of keys. The incident was documented.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Richard G. Seely age 51 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of an individual slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle. Officer located the individual who was taken to E.R. for medical treatment.

Report of a burglary — Reporting party stated that an individual entered into his home and stole his wallet and some money. Officer identified the individual as Lucrecia Romero age 25 of Ely. Romero was arrested for burglary, petit larceny, and possession of a stolen credit card.

JAN. 3

Report of a suspicious subject —Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was just walking home. No crime had occurred.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that she had been battered by her boyfriend. The boyfriend was later located in another county and provided a statement on what had occurred. Investigation continues.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that someone was inside his camper trailer. Officer located three people inside the trailer who did not have permission to be there. The reporting party wanted the individuals trespassed.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had damaged a slot machine at his place of employment. The individual had left the area, but officers were able to identify him. They are attempting to locate him.

Report of a dog bite — Reporting party stated that while she was out walking a dog reached through a fence and bite her. The reporting party received medical attention and the owner of the dog was contacted.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that an individual keeps accusing her of abusing her horse.  Officers will contact the individual and advise her to stop the accusations.

Report of a welfare check — Officer checked on the children and reported that they were fine.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual who had fallen asleep in his vehicle. He was assisted to his home.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that an individual was in his home and he wanted him removed. The individual was contacted and advised to leave.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument over money. No other problems were reported.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she is separated from her husband and he is acting strange. Information was provided on how to apply for a protective order.

Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that the father of her child took their child they have in common and won’t return her. The father was contacted and advised to return the child. He complied.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that an individual had returned to a local business after they had advised her not to. When officers arrived the individual was still present. She was identified as Eldora Johnson age 58 of Ely. Johnson was arrested for trespassing.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Lucien H. Leflohic age 30 of Ely was arrested on a Pahranagat Valley Justice Court warrant.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that she had gotten into an argument with her husband over the use of alcohol. The reporting party stated that she had been battered by her husband. The husband had left the area before officers arrived. Investigation continues.

Report of a battery by an inmate — Reporting party stated that while he was in custody at the White Pine County Jail he was battered by another inmate. During the officers investigation James E. McConnell age 39 of Ely was arrested. McConnell was arrested for battery by a prisoner causing substantial bodily harm and injury to property.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that an individual had threatened her several days ago. The incident was documented.

JAN. 5

Report of a battery — Reporting party stated that he went to a residence in the McGill area and while there he was battered. During the investigation the reporting party was identified as John Allman age 32 of Penrose, NC. Allman was arrested for second degree kidnapping. Officers had identified him in a previous incident where he had transported an underage minor out of state. The minor had been previously located and returned home.  Officers documented the battery that Allman claimed had taken place.

Report of a dog problem — The dogs were checks on and were fine.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer contacted a local juvenile who was playing his music loud. He was advised to turn it down.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had broken a window on their residence. The incident was documented.

Report of a parking problem — Reporting party stated that an individual was parking his vehicle in a private parking lot. The reporting party was advised she could have the vehicle towed.

Report of an open door — Officer located an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door was secured.

Report of a welfare check —The juvenile was located and was fine.

Report of a possible runaway — Officer received a report of a possible juvenile runaway being in the Ely area. The area was checked, but the runaway was not located.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that he had parked his vehicle at a local apartment complex and the manager of the complex had his vehicle towed. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and stated that she was fine.

Report of a suspicious phone call — Reporting party stated that she received a phone call indicating she owed money to the IRS. Officer attempted to contact the caller and reported that it was a scam. The reporting party was advised.

Report of a welfare check — Reporting party stated that two small children were walking down the roadway looking for their home. The children were escorted home and the father was contacted.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that an individual was spreading lies about her. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF THREATS

City — reporting party stated that she received a letter from a family member she felt was inappropriate. The sender of the letter was contacted and advised to stop her contact with the reporting party.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

City — reporting party stated that an individual had thrown trash from his vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was contacted and was identified as a local juvenile. The juvenile was detained and later released to a family member.

REPORT OF AN ARREST

City — officer reported that Irene G. Reynoso age 25 of Ely was arrested for a stop sign violation, improper turn, no valid driver license, D.U.I # 3, and possession controlled substance.

REPORT OF A DEATH

Officer reported that while a family from GA was traveling through the Ely area one of the family member passed away. Officer identified the deceased as Dorothy M Phillips age 74 of Pooler GA. Phillips had died due to natural causes.
