FEB. 4

Report of a welfare check — Officer reported that the residence was checked, but the individual was not located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that she had a verbal argument with her brother. The parties had separated for the day.

Report of an unattended child — Officer received a report of a child being left alone in a vehicle. Officer contacted the parent who stated that he was dropping off an item and could see the child from where he was at. The incident was documented.

Report of a fight — Officer contacted the parties involved who stated that they had been involved in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of an unlicensed driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of found dynamite — Reporting party stated that he had located some dynamite at an old mine site. The items will be destroyed.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that someone had opened a bank account in her mother’s name and she believes it is fraudulent. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident / private property — Caitlin Stanton of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a vehicle behind her belonging to Christina Ryan of Ely. Stanton’s vehicle struck Ryan’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

Report of underage person with alcohol — Officer reported that he patrolled the area and located several individuals. One of the individuals was located with an alcoholic beverage. She was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that a vehicle parked next to his had its bumper touching his vehicle. The vehicle was moved and no damage was located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that a battery had occurred. Officer reported that Sarah K. Matias age 35 of Ely was arrested for domestic battery. She is accused of battering her boyfriend.

Report of a battery — Reporting party stated that her child had been battered at a local school. Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that the school was already aware of the problem. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a suspicious subject — The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop Jeffrey Chavez age 27 of North Hollywood, CA was arrested for driving suspended, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. A passenger in the vehicle, Salas Gilbert age 35 of Pico Rivera, CA was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

FEB. 5

Report of an arrest — Lawrence Stewart, 67 year old Ruth resident, was arrested at his home for an outstanding Municipal Court warrant.

Report of found property — A subject reportedly found a firearm in a rural area.  The gun was placed into lost and found.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party was involved in an argument with a co-habitant, and want that subject removed from the residence.  Both parties advised the situation was civil in nature, and to handle it as such.

Report of drugs — A juvenile was discovered to have purchased marijuana from another juvenile.  Both subjects admitted to the act.  A report was completed and will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of suspicious subjects — Two subjects, with painted faces, were allegedly knocking on doors in a neighborhood.  Both subjects were located and claimed to be taking part in an online challenge.  Both subjects were advised of the repercussions on continuing, and both said they understood and would stop.

Report of an accident — Mary Paris, of Ely, failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle driven by Jesse Dalluge, of McGill, causing an accident.  A report was completed.

Report of a domestic dispute — The couple were found to be arguing over shared property.  Both agreed to separate for the night and handle the property matter civilly.

Report of a business alarm — The fortuitous causation of the klaxon was the custodial staff.

Report of a domestic disturbance — The parties involved were involved in an argument and agreed to separate for the night.

Report of a domestic disturbance — There was only one person at the residence.  Domestic unfounded.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Both parties were contacted and advised they were trying to work out their differences from a domestic dispute earlier in the night.

Report of an accident — Report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had scratched the windows on her vehicle. Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious subject — The area was patrolled, but the individual was not located.

Report of a violation of a court order — Reporting party stated that an individual whom she has a protective order against violated the order. The incident was investigated and no violation had occurred.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that while their vehicle was parked on a public street someone had struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene. The incident was documented.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that they had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved were advised by the motel management where they were staying that they were trespassed from the establishment.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual who had taken too much of her prescription medication. The individual as taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of a burglary / arrest — Officer received a report of an individual who was breaking into a trailer. Officer located the individual and identified him as Dangelo Hirales age 19 of Ely. Hirales was arrested for burglary, petit larceny, injury to property and minor in consumption of alcohol.

Report of a shoplifter — Officer received a report of an individual who had taken several items from a local store. The individual was identified as Dangelo Hirales of Ely. He had already been taken into custody on another incident.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that she had gotten into an argument with her ex-boyfriend. The reporting party stated that she was leaving the area and wanted the incident documented.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that several children were playing in the street. The area was patrolled, but the children were not located.

Report of an open door — Officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door secured.

Report of a motorcycle disturbance — Officer observed the motorcycles in the area, but they refused to stop for him. The incident was documented.

Report of an attempted fraud — Reporting party stated that she received a phone call indicating if she didn’t send money to the caller her water would be shut off. The reporting party was advised it was a fraud and to stop any contact with the caller.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that they had been involved in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the night.

Report of a fight — Officer contacted the parties involved who stated they they had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the night.

Report of an open door — Officer received a report of an open door on a home. The home was checked and the door secured.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend showed up at her motel room and was beating on the door. Officer contacted the ex-boyfriend and he was trespassed from the motel property.

Report of illegal dumping — Officer located several dump sites where someone had been dumping debris. Investigation continues.

FEB. 9

Report of a truancy — Officer received a report of a juvenile who was truant from school. The juvenile was issued a citation for truancy and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of child abuse — Reporting party stated that while she giving her daughter a bath she noticed a large bruise on the child’s leg. The child stated that her aunt had struck her, causing the bruise. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was located and was fine.

Report of an accident — Austin Sorenson of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling west on Clark Street. Ray Westwood of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up from a parked position. Westwood failed to see Sorenson causing an accident. An accident report was completed and Westwood was issued a citation for unsafe backing.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he is receiving unwanted telephone calls from an individual over a discrepancy reference a vehicle purchase. The caller was contacted and advised to stop calling the reporting party and his family members.

Report of a missing juvenile — Officer received a report of a child that did not return home after school. During the investigation the child was located with her father.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Officer received a report of several individuals loitering about a vehicle. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a custody problem — Officer received a report of a custody problem reference where a child was staying while their parent was in the hospital. Officer reported that the situation was resolved due to the parent’s request.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted medial staff with a patient that was causing a problem.

Report of a noise disturbance — The area was patrolled, but no noise disturbance was located.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that her juvenile son was refusing to go to school. The juvenile was contacted and due to his disruptive behavior his parents were advised to keep him out of school for the day. The incident will be forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a threats — Reporting party stated that he had gotten into an argument with an individual over rent owed. The individual had threatened to harm him and his wife. Officer attempted to contact the individual, but he had left the area.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a couch had been stolen while it sat in front of a local business. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — The area was patrolled, but the individual was not located.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a motorized wheelchair had been stolen from his residence. Investigation continues.
