MARCH 25

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and she was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of an accident — Mikki Vancamp of Ely was operating a vehicle when another vehicle pulled in front of her. Vancamp had to break suddenly causing a vehicle behind her being operated by Terisa Smith of McGill to collide into the rear of Vancamps vehicle. An accident report was completed.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend who lives in another state threatened to burn her house down. The boyfriend was contacted who denied the allegation. The incident was documented.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were traveling through the Ely area.  During their travel they had gotten into a verbal argument. The parties advised the argument was over and left the Ely area.

Report of a suspicious phone call — Reporting party stated that they had received a telephone call from an unknown person stating that a person was abusing their children. The reporting party stated that the caller then hung up. The incident was documented.

Report of an accident — Report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of found drug paraphernalia — Reporting party stated that she had let a friend stay at her home and when the friend left she located several items of drug paraphernalia in the room where the friend had stayed. The items were collected and the investigation continues.

Report of a parking problem — Officer contacted the owner of the trailer and advised him to move it from the street.

Report of a garbage problem — Reporting party stated that a large amount of garbage was accumulating at the neighbor’s home. Officer attempted to contact the neighbor, but no one was home.

MARCH 26

Report of a business alarm — The alarm was accidentally triggered by an employee.

Report of a juvenile problem — Several juveniles were reportedly playing in the roadway.  The kids were contacted and denied being in the road.

Report of an alarm — The business was checked and no problem was found.

Report of harassment — The reporting party claimed to be receiving threatening emails from an acquaintance.  A report was completed.

Report of fraud — The reporting party claimed to have discovered fraudulent transactions on several accounts.  A report was completed.

Report of a juvenile problem — Two juveniles were reportedly jumping on baseball equipment at a local park.  The juveniles were contacted, but denied any misbehavior.

Report of found property — The reporting party claimed her son found an abandoned bicycle.  The bike was placed into lost and found.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party, an agent of a local eatery, claimed a male had been causing a disturbance.  The male was contacted and advised not to return to the restaurant.

Report of a shoplifter — The reporting party, an employee of a local grocery store, claimed a female left the store without paying for merchandise.  The female, identified as Heather Carrasco, was issued a citation for petit larceny and trespassed from the store.

MARCH 27

Report of a parking problem — Officer reported that the area was patrolled and no violations were observed.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a motorist assist — Officer located a vehicle that had broken down in the roadway. The vehicle was towed from the area.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer located several individuals shooting a pellet gun to close to residences. They were advised to shot elsewhere.

Report of a found bike — Officer reported that the bike appeared to belong to a student who had left it at the bus stop.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer made contact with several individuals who blamed each other for causing problems during child exchange. They were advised to make the child exchange inside the Sheriff’s Office to avoid any further problems.

Report a stolen vehicle — During the officers investigation it was determined that the vehicle had be repossessed. Officer advised the reporting party that it was a civil problem.

Report a disturbance — Officer contacted several individuals who were playing their music to loud. They were advised to turn the music down.

Report of a welfare check — Officer reported that the individual had went to the hospital with possible food poisoning.

Report of a stolen ATV — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into their trailer and stole their ATV. Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individual and reported no problems were located.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that while they were outside playing games an adult male chased them down the roadway. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

MARCH 28

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that James L. Stubbs age 62 of Ely was arrested for stop sign violation, no insurance and D.U.I.

Report of a fight — Officer made contact with the parties involved who blamed each other for the fight. They both were advised to stay away from each other and to keep the peace.

Report of an attempted break in — Reporting party stated that someone had removed the screen from one of her windows on her residence. The incident was documented.

Report of a lost wallet — The incident was documented.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that while he was traveling through another city in Nevada someone had removed some property from his vehicle. A report was completed.

Report of a violation of a court order — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend whom she has a child with took their child from the babysitter which is in violation of the court order. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was fine.

Report of an accident /private property — Douglas Werth of Hailey, ID was operating a vehicle which had several bicycles secured on top of its roof. As he drove under an awning the bicycles struck the awning. An accident report was completed.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted an individual who was yelling at her children. She was advised to keep the peace.

Report of a fight — Officer received a report of a fight that had occurred at a local bar. Officer reported that several subjects had been involved in the fight. One of the subjects was taken to E.R. by ambulance. Another subject identified as Jordan U. Edmo age 26 of Blackfoot, ID was arrested for disturbing the peace. Investigation into the fight continues.

MARCH 29

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance. The individual was contacted and was advised to keep the peace.

Report of a found phone — The phone was placed into lost and found.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Norman J. Nielsen age 32 of Las Vegas was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer reported while patrolling the Ely area he located a domestic battery that was taking place. During his investigation Isaac M. Wheeler age 21 of Ely was arrested for domestic battery. He is accused of battering a family member.

Report of a welfare check — Officer checked on the children and reported that they were fine.

Report of a welfare check on a dog — Officer received a report of a dog without food or water in the back of a vehicle. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that she was backing her vehicle out of her driveway and struck her other car. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he wanted his roommates removed from his home. Officer advised the reporting party that he would need to properly evict them.

Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

MARCH 30

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that someone had painted an alien on the ground in a local parking lot. Officer patrolled the area and reported that it was only a shadow from a vehicle.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was attempting to break into her home. When officers arrived no one was located. Officers contacted a possible suspect who denied the allegation. The incident was documented.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that a customer at work was harassing her. When officers arrived the individual had left the area and was not located.

Report of a possible sexual assault — Investigation continues.

Report of an accident / private property — Bill Miller of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. Charles Elshere of Caliente, NV was operating a vehicle and drove behind Miller as he was backing. Miller’s vehicle struck Elshere’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that two men drove onto his property and were looking around. The reporting believes they were looking for items to steal. The individuals were not located in the area, but the information was documented.

Report of an accident — Officer reported that a spare tire fell off a passing vehicle and the tire had struck a parked car belonging to Armanta Alcaraz of McGill. The incident was documented.

Report of a hit and run accident — Frank Baldwin of Ely reported that while his vehicle was parked on Public Street it was struck by another vehicle. The striking vehicle had left the scene. Officer located the striking vehicle and the operator was identified as Steve Bridges of Castleford, ID. He was issued a citation for hit and run unattended vehicle.

Report of an accident / private property — Donald Johnson of McGill had his vehicle parked in a private parking lot. Maria Galvan also had her vehicle parked in the private parking lot. Galvan reported that an occupant in the vehicle moved the shifting lever in the vehicle causing it to roll backwards, striking Johnson’s vehicle. An accident report was completed.

Report of an accident — Wyatt Barber a juvenile of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. He failed to see a parked travel trailer behind him belonging to Neville Bryant of Canada. Barber’s vehicle struck Bryant’s travel trailer causing damage. An accident report was completed and Barber was issued a citation for unsafe backing.

Thompson / Sales of a controlled substance and allowing a child to be present where controlled substances are sold/ Bail $150,000. / Arrested by the Eastern Nevada TASK FORCE and the Nevada Department of Public Safety.
