Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter or elsewhere in the newspaper that are leased by law enforcement agencies that include the WPCSO, Nevada Highway Patrol, Ely Shoshone Tribal Police and other local, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies.

APRIL 29

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that her ex-husband had taken several items from her home. Officer contacted the parties involved who are separating property. No court order was in affect and officers advised them it was a civil problem.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual spitting on a vehicle. Officer contacted the individual who advised it was an accident. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of two individuals who were engaged in a verbal argument. The individuals were contacted who then separated for the day.

Report of an ambulance assist — Officer received a report of a female who was acting like she had a stroke. Ely ambulance arrived and assisted the female.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a juvenile who was throwing items at a school bus. Officer contacted the child and the parent and advised them of the problem. A report was sent to juvenile Probation.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance at E.R. The individual was contacted and advised to keep the peace. The individual decided to leave the E.R.

Report of a motorcycle disturbance — The area was patrolled, but the motorcycle was not located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Patricia A. Lenbek age 45 of Eureka was arrested on a Eureka Justice Court warrant.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Gregory T. Powers age 44 of Eureka was arrested for driving suspended and expired license plate.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a juvenile that was being disrespectful to his guardian.  The juvenile was contacted and counseled about his behavior.

Report of a barking dog — Officer located the barking dog, but the owner was not at home. Contact with the owner will be made at a later date.

Report of a suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated she thought someone was inside a vacant apartment. The apartment was checked and no one was located.

APRIL 30

Report of a report of a dead animal — A dead animal was removed from the roadway.

Report of a private property accident — Mary Olson, of Ely, did not see a parked vehicle in a private parking lot and struck it.  An accident report was completed.

Report of a welfare check — The subjects were located and found to be fine.

Report of a theft — The reporting party claimed someone stole her prescription medication.  She believed it to be a family member.  The investigation continues.

Report of fraud — The reporting party received a phone call from an unknown subject claiming to be a law enforcement official, threatening arrest if she didn’t pay them money. The reporting party was advised the call was fraudulent.

Report of a fraud — The reporting party claimed to have received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS and threatening an audit.  He was advised the call was fraudulent.

Report of a custody problem — The reporting party claimed he didn’t get custody of his daughter at the designated time.  Contact was made with the mother, and the issue was found to be caused by a lack of communication.  The issue was resolved by both parties.

Report of a death — Edward Frantz was found in a remote area and appeared to have died due to natural causes.

MAY 1

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop Kenneth Rodriguez age 54 of Tucson, AZ was arrested for possession of cocaine.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered onto his property and stole a radiator. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident — Terri Hall of Ruth had parked her car on a public street. Roger Steeb of Oregon was operating a vehicle and pulled up behind Halls vehicle. As he did so he struck Halls Vehicle. An accident report was completed.

Report of a suspicious subject — The area was patrolled, but the person was not located.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had scratched his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — Officer received a report of a home that was unfit for the occupants to live in. The home was checked and no problems were reported.

Report of a fire — The report was given to Ely BLM.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that she is receiving unwanted text messages from an individual. The individual will be contacted when located and advised to stop texting the reporting party.

Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an arrest — Officer contacted several people who were causing a disturbance. During his investigation David Thornburg age 30 of McGill was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Austin NV Township.

Report of a prowler — The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Salazar /Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and ex-felon in possession of a firearm/ Bail $25,000. / Arrested by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

MAY 2

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over property. One of the individuals involved obtained his property and then left for the evening.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of an individual who had been riding a four wheeler. The individual had parked it and left it running for over an hour. Officer located the individual who had attempted to crawl through a doggie door to his residence, but had passed out due to his level of intoxication. He was woken up, his welfare was checked and the four wheeler turned off.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. The parties decided to separate for the night.

Report of a welfare check — Officer checked on the individuals in the home and reported that they were fine.

Report of a dead deer in the roadway — Officer reported that the deer had been removed.

Report of an ATV disturbance — The area was patrolled, but the ATV was not located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Jeremy Jaramillo age 42 of Ely was arrested on a Nampa ID arrest warrant.

Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

MAY 3

Report of a disturbance — Officer located an individual who was riding his four wheeler. He was advised of the complaint and to discontinue riding it near the county residences.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had shot his home with a bb gun. The incident was documented.

Report of an ambulance assist — Officer received a report of an individual who was passed out and unresponsive. Officer contacted the individual who refused any type of assistance.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine.

Report of an ATV disturbance — The area was patrolled, but the ATV was not located.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles causing a disturbance. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

Report of a dog problem — Officer located the dog at large and he was taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

MAY 4

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. One of the individuals had locked himself inside his residence and refused to allow the other occupant access. The other occupant left the area for the night.

Report of an attempted break in — Reporting party stated that someone had damaged the doors to his business while attempting to break in. The incident was documented.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that one of his sheep had died from unknown causes. Reporting party stated that he had heard gun shots earlier and thought his sheep had been shot. The incident was documented.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that she has been receiving unwanted letters from an individual. The letters are accusatory towards her and her family. The reporting party was advised to obtain a court order to stop the harassment.

Report of an accident — Isidro Gomez of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling down a city street. As he operated the vehicle one of the tires fell off. The tire rolled away and stuck a batting cage at a local residence. An accident report was completed.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his residence and removed some property. Investigation continues.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that while operating his vehicle on a local highway a window on his vehicle broke. The incident was documented.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had gained access to his debit card number and had made several charges with it. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individuals and reported that they were fine.

Report of a battery — Reporting party stated that she had been battered by an individual. Officer is attempting to locate the person who is accused of the battery.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend had battered her and also stole her purse. The incident had occurred several days ago and the ex-boyfriend had left the area. Investigation continues.
