MAY 27

Report of a barking dog — Officer located the barking dog, but the owner of the dog was not at home. Contact will be made at a later date.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a juvenile who was causing a disturbance at a local school. The student was detained and later released to his parent.

Report of a violation of a court order — Officer received a report of a violation of a protective order. Officer contacted the parties involved and advised them of the conditions of the order.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that an individual had charged several items on her charge account. The individual making the purchase on the account did not have permission to do so. Investigation continues.

Report of a dog at large — Officer patrolled the area, but the dog was not located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an eviction notice had been served on an individual and she was refusing to leave. The individual was contacted and trespassed from the property.

Report of a stolen cell phone — During the officer’s investigation the phone was located and returned to the owner.

Report of child abuse — Reporting party stated that a child had informed her that her mother has been abusing her. Investigation continues.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of an accident — Donna M. Gubler of Ruth was operating a vehicle entering onto Aultman Street. As she did so she collided into another vehicle. Gubler was issued a citation for unsafe lane change and an accident report was completed.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that an individual was making threats towards him for money that was owed. Officer contacted the individual and advised him to stay away from the reporting party.

Report of a battery — Reporting party stated that an individual had battered him causing him to go to the hospital to receive medical treatment. Officer is attempting to locate the person responsible for committing the battery.

MAY 28

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed a family member possibly left a controlled substance in his residence.  He was advised to contact law enforcement if anything was found.

Report of a trespasser — The reporting party requested a subject be removed from his residence.  The subject left when officers arrived.

Report of an alarm — The alarm was accidentally set off by an employee.

Report of an accident — Both parties exchanged info in lieu of making a report.

Report of trespassers — The reporting party claimed an unknown subject(s) was squatting in an abandoned home, not their own.  Officers checked the home and found signs of someone staying in the residence, but no persons were found.  The investigation continues.

Report of a juvenile battery — The reporting party claimed a juvenile had been battered by another juvenile.  The investigation continues.

Report of a juvenile problem — The reporting party claimed several juveniles were throwing rocks at his house.  The area was patrolled, but no juveniles were seen.

Report of a death — Officer reported that Norman Hanes age 58 of McGill died at his residence of natural causes.

Report of a public nuisance — Officer contacted the occupant of the home and advised him to clean up and remove the trash.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had thrown eggs at her vehicle and also left signs with vulgar messages. The incident was documented.

Report of property damage — Officer received a report of juveniles breaking glass in the roadway. Officer contacted several juveniles in the area who denied any involvement. The glass was cleaned up.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted with a student that was truant from school.

Report of lost medication — Reporting party stated that she had lost her medication while walking home. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that his renters were moving out, but they were leaving a mess behind. Officer contacted the renters who were advised to clean up the mess before they left.

Report of unattended children — Reporting party located two small children near a street intersection. The parent was located who stated that the children had wandered off while she was shopping.

Report of trespassers — Officers received a report of several juveniles who were swimming at the McGill Pool while it was closed. Officer contacted the juveniles and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a parking problem — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no violations had occurred.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual who was disoriented. She was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual who was causing a disturbance at a local business. The individual was advised to keep the peace.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual who was causing a disturbance at a local business. The individual was identified as Jodi Silver age 50 of Sparks, NV. She was arrested for nuisance in a public building.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that she was being harassed by several individuals. All the parties involved were contacted who gave conflicting statements. They were advised to stay away from each other.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that her juvenile son had been tripped by another juvenile causing an injury to his leg. The incident was documented.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a girl he had met and taken home had stolen some of his belongings. Officer located the girl and the items were returned.

Report of a dog at large — Officer contacted the owner and advised her to keep the dog contained.

Report of a gas skip — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he had just moved out of a residence, but his roommate would not give him all his property. Officer contacted the roommate who stated they had bought the property together. They were advised it was a civil problem.

Report of children playing in the roadway — The children were contacted and advised to play elsewhere.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a violation of a court order — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that no violation had occurred.

Report of a trespasser — Officer reported that no violation had occurred. The trespasser was the property owner.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she had received a text message from an individual who was coming to her home to take some property. Officers reported that the individual who had sent the message was not located.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of an individual climbing through a window on a residence. Officer reported that it was the home owner who had locked himself out.

Report of lost money — Reporting party stated that he took a large amount of money out of his banking account several days ago and now the money is missing. The incident was documented.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no violations had occurred.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that an individual had used a marker to write on a hood of a vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of found drugs — Officer reported while doing a walk though at a local casino he located a small baggie of methamphetamine. Investigation continues.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who gave conflicting statements on what had happened. The parties were separated for the day. Investigation continues.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles banging on the reporting parties door. The juveniles were contacted and advised to stay away from the reporting parties residence.

Report of an intoxicated pedestrian — Officer reported that he located an individual who was intoxicated laying on a sidewalk and unable to care for himself. The individual was detained for Civil Protective Custody.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had attempted to gain access to her home and by doing so damaged a window and several doors. Officer contacted several individuals who were involved and reported that a juvenile who was involved in the incident was detained and later released to his parent

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a citizen assist — Officer received a report of an individual who needed assistance. Officer patrolled the area, but the individual was not located.

JUNE 1

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that an individual has been coming to her place of work and harassing her. The reporting party was advised to obtain a staking and harassment order. Officers are attempting to locate the individual and advise him to stay away from the reporting party.

Report of a barking dog — Reporting party wanted to document that his neighbor’s dog barks all the time. The incident was documented.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer located the vehicle and contacted the operator. He was advised of the complaint and a warning was issued.

Report of a bad check — The reporting party was advised of the process needed for law enforcement to proceed with a bad check investigation.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that an individual had rented a room at a local motel. When the renter left he took several items with him. Investigation continues.

Report of a public nuisance — Officer contacted the occupant of the home and advised him to have the garbage removed.

Report of a lost and found item — A walking cane was placed into lost and found.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he recently evicted a renter and now the renter is accusing him of false allegations. Officer is attempting to locate the renter.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Russell L. Bainbridge age 24 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an injured dog — Reporting party had located an injured dog in the roadway. The owner was located and the dog was returned.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that William K. Sprouse age 31 of Ely was arrested for disobedience to traffic control device, D.U.I. and open container in vehicle.

Report of a battery — Officer received a report of a battery that had taken place at a care facility. The individuals involved were contacted by staff and the situation was resolved.

Report of a dog at large — The report was given to Ely Animal Control.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that an individual was driving on his private road. The individual was contacted and advised not to use the roadway.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that his wife whom he is separated from has made threats towards possibly damaging their property. The incident was documented.

Report of a violation of a court order — Officer contacted the parties involved and the documents that were being disputed will be returned.

Report of a lost and found bike — The bike was collected and placed into lost and found.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her neighbors are always using profanity and causing a disturbance. The neighbors were contacted and advised to keep the peace.

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of several dogs being left without food and water. Officers are attempting to locate the owner of the dogs.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen his acetylene and oxygen tanks along with his torches from the back of his vehicle. In investigation continues.

Report of an open door — Officer received a report of an open door on a vacant building. The building was checked and the owner of the building will be notified to secure the door.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer located the vehicle and spoke to the occupants. They were advised of the complaint and issued a warning about their driving behavior.

Report of an accident — Ronda Bishop of  Schurz, NV was operating a vehicle turning off US 6 onto Mosier View Drive. Chantal Lyons of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling behind Bishop. Lyons vehicle collided into the rear of Bishops vehicle. An accident report was completed and Lyons was issued a citation for following to close.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had cut the lock off to a storage shed. The owner of the shed was notified, but is unsure if any property is missing. The incident was documented.
