JUNE 10

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that two individuals had entered into her home and threw fireworks at her. The individuals were identified and when located will be issued citations for trespassing, disturbing the peace and discharging fireworks.

Report of a juvenile problem  — Reporting party stated that several juveniles were riding skateboards around his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of an accident — Report was given to Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of a found purse — The owner was contacted and the purse will be returned.

Report of a reckless driver —  The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the occupant of the home and advised him to turn his music down, he complied.

Report of a domestic problem — Reporting party stated that her husband had taken their child to a family member’s home and she didn’t approve. Reporting party was advised that no crime had occurred and to speak to her husband about her concerns.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her neighbors are always yelling at her children. Officer spoke to the neighbors who denied the allegation. The parties involved were advised to avoid contact with each other.

Report of a domestic problem — Reporting party stated that his wife took their car and he wanted it back. The reporting party was advised that no crime had occurred due to them both owning the vehicle.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that several individuals came to his home and was challenging him and his son to fight. Officers are attempting to locate the individuals. Investigation continues.

Report of a juvenile problem — The area was patrolled and the juveniles that were yelling were not located.

Report of a sex crime — The reporting party claimed to have information regarding an adult having sexual relations with a subject under the age of 16.  The investigation continues.

Report of an accident — Stan Weickowski, of Texas, reported striking a deer on the highway.  A report was completed.

Report of threats — The reporting party claimed to be receiving threats via Facebook.  It appeared both the reporting party and the suspect were making threats.  The reporting party was advised to block the user.

Report of an accident — David Hattrick, of Arizona, struck a deer on the highway.  A report was completed.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Contact was made with both subjects and it appeared to be verbal in nature.  Both parties were advised to separate for the night.

Report of a disturbance — The area was checked and no disturbance was found.

Report of a domestic disturbance — The parties were contacted and found to be only arguing.  They were warned about disturbing the peace.

Report of a domestic disturbance — The reporting party claimed to hear two people fighting.  The area was checked, but the subjects could not be located.

Report of an arrest — A deputy conducted a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation.  The driver, identified as 42 year old Robert C Porter Jr, of Ely, was later arrested the driver for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted several individuals who were involved in an argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the individuals involved and reported that Gregory A. Haynes age 44 of Ruth was arrested for disturbing the peace.

Report of a bad check — Officer contacted the reporting party and advised him of the procedures need to file a bad check incident.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual who had fallen and needed assistance getting back into bed. Assistance was provided.

Report of a stolen vehicle — Officer reported that the vehicle was located. A friend of the reporting had borrowed it, but hadn’t told the reporting party.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of juveniles riding their bikes in the roadway. Officer contacted the juveniles and advised them not to ride their bikes into traffic.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a juvenile who had broken a fence. The juvenile was contacted and stated that it was an accident. The incident was documented.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Anthony S. Whitten age 47 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer reported that several individuals were involved in a verbal argument. The parties had separated before officers arrived.

Report of a lost hiker — Officers received a report of a lost hiker. The hiker was hiking in the Great Basin National Park area. Search and Rescue was contacted and he was located by them in good health.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Hector I. Elizalde age 32 of Las Vegas was arrested for driving revoked, head lamps required, and displaying blue lights.

Report of a found dog — The dog was placed into the Ely Dog Pound

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that an individual drove by his home yelling and threatening him. Officers are attempting to locate that individual.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individual who was under the influence of a controlled substance. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted several individuals who were involved in an argument at a local parking lot. During the officers investigation Rebeca A. Klippert of Ruth was issued a citation for disturbing the peace.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individuals and reported that assistance was provided.

Report of a found cell phone — The phone was placed into lost and found.

Report of child abuse — Officers are investigating the abuse of an infant.

Report of an open door — Officer reported that the owner of the business was still there. No problems were reported.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had occurred. During the investigation Toby G. Greer age 38 of Wylie TX was arrested for domestic battery. He is accused of battering his wife.

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of a dog left unattended in a vehicle. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a disturbances — Officer contacted the occupant of the residence and advised him to turn his music down.

Report of an ATL — Officer received a report of an individual who had gone for a hike and when he returned had lost his car. The area was patrolled, but the reporting party was not located.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer contacted the reporting party and his daughter. The reporting party stated that his daughter was not following his rules. The daughter was advised to comply with her father rules.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that he recently broke up with his girlfriend, but she keeps calling him. Officer contacted the girlfriend who stated that the boyfriend keeps calling her. They were both advised to stay away from each other.

Report of a disturbance — The area was patrolled, but the juveniles making the noise were not located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that it was a verbal argument. During the officers investigation one of the parties involved was identified as Kristen D. Kalleres age 28 of Ely she was arrested for obstructing a police officer.

Report of an accident — Ma Teresita Senda of WA was operating a vehicle on US 6 when she struck a deer causing damage to her vehicle. An accident report was completed.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The vehicle was located and no crime had occurred.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE

City — officer contacted the occupants of the motel room and advised them to keep the peace.

Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. The victim was taken to E.R. for medical treatment. The suspect who was identified as the victim’s boyfriend had fled the scene. Investigation continues.

City — reporting party stated that the father of her children was arguing with her over what time and where to exchange their children. Due to no court order in affect she was advised it was a civil problem.

City — reporting party stated that someone had damaged his neighbor’s patio furniture. Officer investigated the incident and reported that it was possibly done by the wind.

City — reporting party stated that her neighbor came to her home uninvited and was causing a disturbance. The neighbor was contacted and trespassed from the property.

REPORT OF AN ACC8IDENT

City — Michelle Gardner of Ely was operating a vehicle and was stopped at the intersection of Bristlecone Ave and Great Basin Blvd. A semi-truck driver was making a turn at that intersection and Gardner believed the semi was going to strike her vehicle. Gardner then backed up and failed to see a vehicle behind her being operated by Judy Wolf of Ely. Gardner’s vehicle struck Wolfs vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A THEFT

City — reporting party stated that she left her purse at a local business and when she returned to get it someone had stolen it. Investigation continues.

Report of an ATL — Officer received a report of an attempt to locate on an individual who was traveling through the Ely area. The area was patrolled, but the individual was not located.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that he had parked his vehicle in a local parking lot and someone struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene. The incident was documented.

Report of found drugs — Reporting party stated that she had located some marijuana in a local parking lot. The item was collected.

Report of unwanted mail — Reporting party stated that he received a letter from an individual who he requests no contact with. The letter was collected and the incident was documented.

Report of an abandoned vehicle — The report was given to Ely BLM Ranger.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he was having a dispute with an individual whom he had done some work for. The owner of the property trespassed the reporting party from the property.

Report of an injury accident — Officers received a reported of an accident that had occurred on US 93 south of Lages junction. The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Officer reported that a passenger in the vehicle was identified as Trinity Scarborough age 14 from Henderson, NV died due to injuries she sustained in the accident.   The accident is still under investigation.
