Anthony Paul Alu passed away suddenly at his home in Las Vegas on August 15, 2015. “Tony’ was born at  Barksdale Airforce base, LA. His early years were spent in Germany and moved to Las Vegas as a child. He graduated Basic High School and went on to attend UNR and Truckee Meadows College. He then moved back to Las Vegas where he worked many years as a chef before moving to Ely. Tony was a skilled chef and mentor. He had a passion for food and cooking. He never hesitated to share a recipe with friends or customers. No matter where he lived he always called Ely home. Tony’s other passions were The San Diego Chargers, The Atlanta Braves, fishing, golfing, playing his guitar and rock and roll! He is climbing the stairway to heaven.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ann.

His survivors are children; Toni Mari and Joseph Anthony. Grandsons Aiden and Xander. Stepchildren Brendon Martinez and Kristin Davis, Father, Frank, stepmother, Barbara,  brother Gary, sisters Brenda and Mari and his best friend and love of 20 years, Jean.
