NOV. 4

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS SUBJECTS: City – the reporting party claimed several people had been chasing him.  The report was unfounded.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – the officer observed two subjects fleeing the area when they saw him.  The officer later located the subjects, identified as 19 year old Raelynn Mitchell and 23 year old Lindsey Mitchell, both of Ely.  Both subjects began using loud tumultuous language after being warned to cease. Both subjects were later arrested for disturbing the peace and obstructing a peace officer.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE INTOXICATED DRIVER: The area was checked, but the vehicle could not be located.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE INTOXICATED DRIVER: The vehicle was located and the officer discovered the driver was pulling over to sleep due to sleep deprivation.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – the reporting party complained about juveniles loitering on private property.  The juveniles were located and trespassed from the property.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: The reporting party claimed someone stole money from their house sometime over the last few months.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 26 year old Ely resident Kolton Tilford was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

REPORT OF VANDALISM: City – the reporting party discovered a broken window on a building he owns.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City – the reporting party claimed an employee he was getting ready to terminate was attempting to coerce money from him.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – the reporting party claimed a family member had forced his way into their home and used force or violence against them.  The family member was later located and identified as 30 year old Brandon Neibauer of Ely.  Neibauer was determined the primary physical aggressor and taken into custody for domestic battery.

REPORT OF STOLEN PROPERTY: City – the reporting party claimed someone stole his property.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – contact was made with the parties involved and it was discovered to be verbal only.

REPORT OF A MOTORIST ASSIST: City — Officer received a report of a vehicle that was broke down in the roadway. Officer conducted traffic control until the vehicle was removed.

 REPORT OF ELDERLY ABUSE: Officer investigated the incident and reported that no crime had occurred.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — Officer reported that he observed two females fighting. The females were separated and provided statements on what had started that incident. Officer reported that one of the females involved was identified as Gretchen Westreicher age 49 of Ely. She was arrested for disturbing the peace.

 REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A NEIGHBOR: City — reporting party stated that an individual whom she is having problems with called her landlord and made a false accusation against her. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City — officer received a report of a possible sexual assault that had occurred at a local motel. Officers contacted individuals at the motel and could not locate any problems.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City — Carmin Garza of Ely reported that while her vehicle was parked at a local parking lot an unknown vehicle struck hers causing damage. The striking vehicle left the scene. Investigation continues.

 REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City — reporting party stated that someone had spit on her vehicle. The incident was documented.

 REPORT OF A DEATH: City — officer received a report of an individual who had taken his own life. The individual was identified as William M. Hampton age 16 of Ely. Hampton was sent to the Clark County Coroner’s Office to confirm his cause of death.

NOV. 6

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City — reporting party stated that someone threw something at her home. The area was patrolled, but nothing was located.

 REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that a stray dog was in her yard. The dog was taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The individual was contacted and was fine.

 REPORT OF A HEALTH ALARM: City — the individual was contacted and was fine.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK ON A HORSE: The horse welfare was checked and was fine.

REPORT OF THEFT OF MEDICATION: City — reporting party stated that her medication had been stolen while she was staying at a local motel. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that several females had stolen items from a local business. Officer reported that the females were identified as Bobbye Carlson and Tiana Wilson both of Ely, They were both issued citation for petit larceny.

 REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Morgan Lester a juvenile of Ely was operating a vehicle and was driving into a friend’s driveway. She stated that a vehicle in front of her backed up striking the front of her vehicle. The striking vehicle then left the scene. The incident was documented.

 REPORT OF A FOUND PHONE: City — the owner of the phone was contacted and it was returned to her.

 REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that his BMX bike had been stolen. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that an individual came to his apartment and was causing a disturbance. When officers arrived the individual had left the area. He was latter located and advised not to return to the reporting parties’ apartment.

 REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Howard Francis of Provo, UT was operating a vehicle traveling on Cave Valley Road when he struck a cow causing damage to his vehicle. An accident report was completed.

 REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Brandi Coleman of Ely was operating a vehicle on US 93 when she struck a deer causing damage to her vehicle. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer reported that he located a juvenile out past the hours of curfew who had also consumed alcohol. The juvenile was detained and later released to a family member.

 REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Seth J. Van Horn age 23 of Ely was arrested for D.U.I., failure to drive in marked lanes and open container.

 REPORT OF AN INTOXICATED PEDESTRIAN: City — officer received a report of an individual walking in the roadway causing a disturbance. Officer located the individual and identified him as Dustin D. Faris age 25 of Ely. He was arrested for pedestrian under the influence in the roadway.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE DRUNK DRIVER: City — the area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A FOUND ITEM: City — reporting party stated that an ID card was left at his place of business. The ID was placed into lost and found.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that someone has been stealing wood from her shed. The incident was documented

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — officer contacted the parties involved and reported that no battery had occurred. The aggressor in the altercation was trespassed from the business establishment where the altercation had taken place.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer received a report of an intoxicated person who was passed out at a local bar. Officer reported that the female would not wake. She was taken to E.R. by the Ely ambulance.

 REPORT OF STOLEN PROPERT: Reporting party stated that his license plate off his vehicle had been stolen. The incident was documented.

 REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST: Reporting party requested that his residence be checked, due to a family member passing away and he was afraid other family members might enter onto the property and remove items. The residence was checked and secured.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — the individual was contacted and taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

 REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was fine.

REPORT OF AN INTOXICATED PERSON: City — officer contacted the individual who was intoxicated and threatening to harm herself. She was detained until sober.

 REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The area was patrolled, but the individual was not at home.

 REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Officer received a report of a vehicle accident that occurred on an unmaintained roadway near the High School. When officers arrived the vehicle was being towed away by a friend of the operators. The operator was identified as Rodney Lesher Jr. of Ely. The vehicle had left the roadway and had struck several trees. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Reporting party thought he heard noises in his crawl space where he lives. The area was checked and nothing was located.

REPORT OF SHOPLIFTER: City — reporting party stated that an individual removed some items from her place of employment without paying for them. When the individual is located he will be issued a citation for petit larceny.

REPORT OF A FRAUD: City — reporting party stated that someone had used her debit card without her permission. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — the individual was contacted and was fine.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that someone had gained access to her purse and stole her debit card and credit card. Officer assisted the reporting party in notifying her banking establishment and the credit card company of the theft.

REPORT OF TRAFFIC CONTROL: Officer reported that traffic control was conducted on Murry Summit due to heavy snows and stuck vehicles.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT:

Officer reported that the vehicle had slid off the roadway. The operator was assisted by a local tow company and the vehicle was pulled back onto the road.
