NOV. 10

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the individuals involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. The parties were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a motorist assist — Officer reported that a vehicle had slid off the roadway. A local tow company assisted the vehicle back onto the roadway.

Report of property damage —Reporting party stated that several locks had been cut off a gate restricting access to his property. The incident was documented,

Report of a welfare check — Officer reported that the individual will be contacted at a later date due to the individual had a medical emergency.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that an individual had altered his power meter. The individual was now obtaining power without paying for it.  Investigation continues.

Report of an agency assist — Officer executed a court order to remove a child from a residence. The child was placed with D.C.F.S.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a terminated employee had returned to his place of business and he requested she be trespassed. The individual was contacted and trespassed from the business.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her boyfriend took their child and went to a friend’s home. The reporting party wanted the child returned to her home. She was advised it was a civil problem due to no child custody order was in place.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen his medication. Officer investigated the incident and a report was completed.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles playing near a construction sight. The juveniles were advised to leave the area.

Report of a music disturbance — Officer contacted the occupant of the home and advised him to turn his music down.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted who stated that he was fine.

Report of a found wallet — The owner of the wallet will be notified to pick it up at the Sheriff’s Office.

Report of a custody problem —Reporting party stated that he is to pick up his children from their mother at a certain time, but the mother changed the time. Officer contacted the mother who had worked out an agreement with the attorney’s representing both parties. The reporting party was advised of the situation.

Report of fraud — Reporting party stated that someone had gained access to her debit card and had made several purchase. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual needed to be trespassed from her place of business. The individual was contacted and trespassed from the property.

Report of a fire — The report was given to the Ely Fire Department.

Report of an accident — Officer reported that a vehicle struck a street sign, causing damage to the sign. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

Report of an accident — Seth Robertson a juvenile of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on 8th Street. Due to a mechanical problem with the vehicle he collided into a parked camp trailer. An accident report was completed.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that someone had opened up several credit cards in his name. A report was completed and the credit card companies were notified of the fraudulent acts.

Report of a welfare check — Officer attempted to contact the individual, but no one was home.

Report of a trespasser —  Reporting party stated that a vehicle was driving around his fence line to his property. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a vehicle fire — The report was given to the County Fire Department.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that they wanted an individual trespassed from a local apartment complex. The individual was contacted and advised.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of several individuals causing a disturbance at a local restaurant. When officers arrived the individuals had left the area.

Report of a civil problem —  Reporting party stated that she had been evicted from her apartment and needed to obtain her property. She was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a welfare check— Officer reported that a small child kept calling 911. The mother and child were contacted and it was reported that the child was playing with the phone.

Report of a battery — Officer received a report of an individual who had been battered. Officer reported that the individual was taken to E.R. He was later interviewed and stated that he had been in a fight with several people. The incident was documented.

Report of an arrest —Officer reported that Leonard L. Mathews age 32 of Ruth was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a dog at large — Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised her to keep it contained.

Report of an accident —Martha R. Sindelar of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a parked vehicle behind her belonging to Phillip J. Romero of McGill. Sindelar’s vehicle struck Romero’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Sindelar was issued a citation for unsafe backing.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that several females had come into his place of business and removed several items without paying for them. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and he requested no assistance.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that he received a telephone call from his ex-employer who made threatening comments towards him. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was standing outside a residence and was screaming. Officer contacted the individual and she was taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of a battery — Officer received a report of a juvenile who had been battered by another juvenile. Officer contacted the parties involved along with their parents and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a suspicious Vehicle —The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a civil problem — Officer received a report of an individual who was removing property from a residence. Officer contacted the individual and advised her to return the property until all court proceedings had been finalized.

Report of a theft — Officer received a report of several juveniles who had stolen several items from a local store. The juveniles were detained and later released to their parents. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a vehicle fire — The report was given to the Fire Department.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his vehicle and stole his cell phone. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — Officer reported that the individual was located and was fine.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of threats —Reporting party stated that an individual was making threats towards him on Face Book. All the parties involved were contacted and advised to stop their contact with each other.

Report of a 911 hangup —Officer contacted the occupant of the residence where the call initiated from. The occupant indicated that no one had used the phone.

Report of a found bag —Officer located a backpack that had been left near the roadway. The backpack was placed into lost and found.

Report of a suicidal subject — Officer contacted the individual and he was taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of an accident —Tyson Pierce of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Aultman Street. Several deer ran in front of his vehicle causing him to apply his brakes. Due to the icy conditions of the roadway his vehicle slid striking a rock wall, causing damage to his vehicle.  A report was completed.

Report of an accident — Quinn Ewell of Ely was operatizing a vehicle traveling on Campton Street. As he entered into he intersection of Campton and Great Basin Blvd. he was unable to stop his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle slid into the intersection striking a vehicle being operated by Cade Marques of Ely. An accident report was completed.

Report of an accident —Officer reported that the individuals involved had exchanged information and had left the scene.

Report of harrassment —Reporting party stated that a former employee has been sending him messages over money that the reporting party supposably owes him. The former employee is not in the Ely area. The incident was documented.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he rented a room at his motel to an individual traveling through the Ely area. When the individual checked out he stole all the bed linen. Investigation continues.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he receives his medication in the mail. He stated that his prescription did not arrive and believes it was stolen. Investigation continues.

Report of a sexual assault —Officer received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred on a child. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check —The individual was contacted and taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of counterfeit money — Officer received a report of a local business receiving money they believed was counterfeit. Officer checked the money and reported that it was not counterfeit.

Report of a problem with a subject —Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local motel. Officer contacted the individual and identified him as Robert J. Garcia age 38 of Ely. Garcia was arrested for ex-felon failure to register and on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a welfare check —Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine.

Report of a 911 hangup —Officer contacted the occupant of the residence and reported that a small child was playing with the phone.
