Report of a suspicious vehicle—Officer checked on the occupant of the vehicle and reported that no problems were located.

Report of possible child abuse—Reporting party stated that she had observed an individual slap a child in the face. Officer contacted the parties involved and spoke to the father who stated that he had slapped his child due to her throwing a rock at a family member and hitting them in the head. The father was advised on the proper way to discipline a child.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—Officer patrolled the area, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an alarm—False alarm.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of several small children being left in a vehicle. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a tresspasser—Reporting party stated that he wanted an individual removed from his place of business. When officers arrived there was a difference in opinion between two of the property managers Officer reported that no action was taken.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the person and reported that they were fine.

Report of a wreckless driver—The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a reckless driver—The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of a possible drunk driver—The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a private property accident—Ronald Harding of Las Vegas was operating a semi-truck turning into a private driveway. As he did so the trailer he was towing struck a Mt. Wheeler Power box. An accident report was completed.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that while her vehicle was parked at a local parking lot someone scratched it in several places. A report was completed.

Report of threats—Reporting party stated that an individual was threatening to do damage to his property. The incident was documented.

Report of found drug paraphernalia—Reporting party stated that while she was looking for an item in her son’s room she found drugs and drug paraphernalia. The items were collected and the investigation continues.

Report of an accident—Officer assisted the Nevada Highway Patrol with a vehicle accident on SR 318.

Report of threats—Reporting party stated that they had received a threatening phone call at their place of business. The incident was documented.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties separated for the night.

Report of an intoxicated person—Officer received a report of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance at a local bar. Officers contacted the individual and identified him as Gregory A. Haynes age 45 of Ruth. Haynes was arrested for disturbing the peace.

Report of a custody problem—Reporting party stated that his girlfriend left their home with their child in common. The reporting party was unsure where his girlfriend was going or if she would return. Officer reported that there is no child custody order in affect. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a parking problem—Officer located a semi-truck that was parked in the roadway. The operator of the vehicle was contacted and advised to move it from the roadway.

Report of a violation of a protective order—Reporting party stated that she had a protective order against her ex-husband and today she received a telephone call from him. Officer advised that the order hadn’t been served so no violation had occurred.

Report of an accident—Brice Slagowski of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. Due to icy road conditions he was unable to stop his vehicle and collided into a parked vehicle belonging to Gary Fairman of Ely. An accident report was completed.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individuals and reported that they were fine.

Report of a suspicious subject—The area was patrolled, but the individual was not located.

Report of a found bicycle— The bike was placed into lost and found.

Report of a custody problem—Reporting party stated that the court order for child custody states she gets their children for Christmas this year. Reporting party was concerned that her ex-husband was going to cause a problem. The incident was documented.

Report of a stolen vehicle—Reporting party stated that her vehicle had been stolen in Las Vegas. A report was completed.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that two individuals came into a local store and possibly stole several items. Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance—Officer received a report of an individual that was causing a disturbance in his home. Officer contacted the individual and reported that he seemed delusional. The individual was destroying things in his home and believed people were hiding underneath his bed and in closets. Officers searched the home and found no one. The individual was advised to keep the peace.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Christopher L. Farnsworth age 21 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant. He was also arrested for stop lamps required, driving suspended, and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Report of a burglary—Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his home without his permission. The reporting party is unsure if anything is missing. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted and she was being assisted by family members. No law enforcement action was requested.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was located and she was fine.

Report of a shoplifter—Reporting party stated that an individual had entered into a place of business and stole several items. The individual then fled the store. Officer located the individual and identified her as Mara Vasquez of Ely she was issued a citation for petit larceny.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local bar. The individual was contacted and advised to leave.

Report of a problem with a subject—reporting party stated that several individuals who had caused a problem at a local business earlier in the week had returned. Officer contacted the individuals and trespassed them from the property.

Report of an accident—Officer received a report of a vehicle that had struck a retaining wall. When officers arrive the vehicle had left the scene.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that there were fresh foot prints in the snow around a vacant home. Officer investigated the foot prints and reported that they were animal tracks.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—Officer reported that the vehicle was a snow remover removing snow from local businesses.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individual and reported that he requested no assistance.

Report of a broken water line—Officer located a broken water line at one of the local schools. School officials were notified.

Report of an accident—Cody Irby of Ely was operating a vehicle on Campton Street. Due to icy road conditions he lost control of the vehicle and struck a pole. An accident report was completed and Irby was issued a citation for operating a vehicle without a license.

Report of a motorist assist—Officer assisted a motorist who had become stuck in the snow.

Report of a dog at large—Officer located the owner of the dog and returned it to him.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that an individual who was helping care for her was stealing items from her residence. During the officers investigation the individual was identified as Frank Miller age 42 of Ely. Miller was arrested for petit larceny. During his arrest he was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that she had a party at her home and one of the guest stole some money. Officer confronted the guest suspected in stealing the money and he denied the allegation. He was trespassed from the reporting party’s property.

Report of a suspicious subject—Reporting party stated that several individuals were hanging around cars. The area was patrolled, but they were not located.

Report of a motorist assist—Officer assisted an individual who’s vehicle had a dead battery.

Report of a child custody problem—Reporting party stated that her children needed to be returned to her per- the child custody order. Officer contacted the parties involved and the children were returned.

Report of a child custody problem—Reporting party stated that his ex-wife was on her way to Ely to pick up their son and she was going to claim the he was keeping him from her. The reporting party stated that his vehicle had broken down and he was unable to take the child back. The incident was documented and no further problems were reported.

Report of possible animal abuse—Reporting party stated that several horses were not being properly cared for. Investigation continues.

Report of a dog at large—The owner of the dog was contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that she received information from her cellular provider that someone has been using her cell number. The incident was documented.

Report of a dog problem—Officer received a report of several dogs being left in a car. The owner was contacted and advised of the problem. The owner took the dogs inside the residence.

Report of a motorist assist—Officer reported that an individual was towing a trailer and struck a pole causing damage to the tires on the trailer. A local tow company assisted the motorist with the removal of the trailer.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that she was moving out of her apartment and when she returned to get the rest of her items several things were missing. Investigation continues.

Report of a shoplifter—Officer received a report of an individual who had stolen several items at a local store. During the officers investigation the individual was identified as Jody M. Solberg age 45 of Ely. Solberg was arrested for petit larceny and possession of a controlled substance.

Report of an accident—Reporting party stated that his girlfriend’s dog had been hit by a vehicle and that the striking vehicle had left the scene. Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle who had already notified the owner of the dog.

Report of an accident—Reporting party stated that while he was traveling on US 50 near Fernley, NV he struck a dog causing damage to his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a trespasser—Officer received a report of an individual who was trespassing at a local motel. The individual was contacted and identified as Stacy A. Colville age 51 of Fort Mojave, AZ. Officer reported that during his investigation Colville was arrested for disturbing the peace, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a dangerous drug.

Report of an accident—Officer received a report of a vehicle that was involved in an accident and was off the roadway. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a suspicious subject—Officer contacted the individual who was picking up some items for the property owner.

Report of a battery—Officer received a report of a health care provider that had been battered by a patient. Investigation continues.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Cortney R. Rosevear age 32 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Reporting party stated that he had been battered by his wife. Officers are attempting to locate the wife to interview her reference the allegation.

Report of an accident—The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of an accident — Jennifer Neibauer-Perry was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a vehicle behind her belonging to her neighbor. Neibauer-Perry’s vehicle collided into her neighbor’s vehicle. Neibauer – Perry stated that due to the early morning when the accident occurred she didn’t notify her neighbor of the accident. Later in the day she attempted to notify them, but they were not at home. The incident was documented.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had pried off a piece of plywood that was covering a window on a vacant building. The building was checked and the plywood re-secured.

Report of a broken water line — The report was given to the City of Ely.

Report of fraud — Reporting party stated that she had received a telephone call from an individual who claimed he was from the government. The caller stated that there were warrants out for the reporting party and she needed to pay for them right away or she would be arrested. The reporting party provided the caller with her banking information. The caller reported that money was taken out of her banking account. The reporting party was advised it was a scam.

Report of a battery — Reporting party stated that when she awoke today her eyes were sore as if she had been battered. The reporting party couldn’t remember if she had been assaulted. The reporting party received medical attention and the incident was documented.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Loren Betlach age 28 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of harrassment — Reporting party stated that she had confronted an individual reference a battery that had taken place. The reporting party stated that the individual now follows her around town and texts her all the time. Officer is attempting to locate the individual involved.

Report of a shoplifter—Reporting party stated that an individual had removed several items from a local store without paying for them. When the individual was confronted he fled the store. Officers have identified the individual and when he is located he will be cited for petit larceny.

Report of a walfare check—Officers attempted to locate the person, but she was not at home.

Report of a suicidal subject—Officer contacted the person who denied that he was going to harm himself. The incident was documented.
