Report of a welfare check—The child was checked on and was fine.

Report of a motorist assist—Officer assisted and individual who’s vehicle had become stuck in the snow.

Report of a welfare check—Officer reported that the individual was not located.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of an individual pushing snow into the street. Officer contacted the person and advised him not to push the snow into the street.

Report of a parking problem— Officer located the vehicle and had it towed.

Report of an abandoned vehicle—The owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised to remove it from the roadway.

Report of a civil problem—Reporting party stated that she has separated from her boyfriend and they are arguing over the ownership of a dog. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a found item—Reporting party located a cell phone. The phone was placed into lost and found.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that an elderly person advised him that she had been contacted by RSVP to assist her in obtaining her mail and groceries. The reporting party was advised that RSVP is an agency that assists the elderly with those services.

Report of a welfare check—The child was checked on and was fine.

Report of a civil problem—Reporting party was having problems with his ex-wife over the raising of their son. The incident was documented.

Report of possible fraud—Reporting party stated that he received a letter from the IRS stating he owed them money. He stated that in the letter he was to complete some paper work he received with the letter and return it to the IRS. The reporting party was advised to contact the IRS and validate the letter.

Report of a possible drunk driver—Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle who was not intoxicated, just stuck in the snow.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that two individuals had stayed at his home and now he wants them removed. Officer contacted the individuals and advised them to leave.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that her child had been involved in an incident at school where another child’s glasses had been damaged. The parent of the child whose glasses had been damaged was now contacting the reporting party demanding payment for the glasses. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a sexual assault—Reporting party stated that approximately four years ago she had been sexually assaulted. Investigation continues.

Report of a battery—Officer received a report of a juvenile battery that had occurred at a local school. The parents of the juveniles that were involved were contacted and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a parking problem—Officer received a report of a vehicle that was stuck in the snow causing a traffic hazard. Officer assisted in removing the vehicle.

Report of an accident—Savannah L. Jensen of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Aultman Street. She then made a turn onto 11th street and as she did so failed to yield to a vehicle being operated by Krisztina Toth of Ely. Jensen’s vehicle struck Toth’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Jensen was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.

Report of an ambulance assist—Officer received a report of an individual who had a frost bitten hand. The individual was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of an arrest—26 year old Ely resident, Christopher Dale Joseph Bradley, was arrested during a traffic stop for driving without a valid license.

Report of a welfare check—The subjects were located and appeared to be fine.

Report of harrassment—The reporting party complained about getting harassing phone calls from another country.  A report was completed.

Report of truancy—A child was deemed a habitual truant and was issued a citation.

Report of a welfare check—The subject was located and was fine.

Report of suspicious circumstances—The reporting party believed an unknown subject had been in his home.  The home was checked, but no one was found.

Report of an accident—41 year old Ely resident, Martina Brandy Hughes, struck several parked vehicles and failed to report the accident to law enforcement.  Hughes was later located and subsequently arrested for suspicious of driving under the influence.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Contact was made with the involved parties and all denied any type of altercation.

Report of suspicious circumstances—The reporting party claimed her prescription medication was missing.  The investigation continues.

Report of a parking problem—Officer received a report of a vehicle that was parked blocking traffic. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised to move her car.

Report of a fight—Officers received a report of a fight that had taken place at a local bar. When officers arrived the individuals involved reported that nothing had happened. The incident was documented.

Report of fraud—Reporting party stated that he had applied for a loan on line and several individuals contacted him to send money to secure the loan. The reporting party sent the money along with his banking and other personal information. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and to notify his banking establishment.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that a friend of his is being abused by her husband. The reporting party was advised to have the friend contact the sheriff’s office to report the domestic battery.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party is moving out of an apartment and left several items outside the apartment for several days. When she returned to get the items some of them were gone. The incident was documented.

Report of a private property accident—Zachary Bellander a juvenile of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. He failed to see a vehicle behind him belonging to Diane Buckner of Ely. Bellander’s vehicle struck Buskners vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

Report of a found wallet—Officer located a wallet in a local parking lot. The owner of the wallet will be notified.

Report of a citizen assist—Reporting party stated that the lights were on in her home and she was unable to turn them off. Officer turned the lights off for her.

Report of an ATV disturbance—The area was patrolled, but the ATV was not located.

Report of possible drug use—The area was patrolled, but no problems were located.

Report of a problem with a subject— Officer received a report of an individual who was fueling his vehicle and spilled some fuel. The individual didn’t want to pay for the spilt fuel. He was advised to pay for the fuel and to take up his concerns with the management of the business.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that she was using a gambling machine at a local casino, but left the machine to do other business. When she returned to the machine someone else was using it. She was advised that no crime had occurred.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that she is separated from her husband and that her husband came to her home and just walked in. The husband was contacted who advised his wife does the same at his place of residence so he thought it was ok. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other and to notify each other if they are coming to their homes.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Tracey L. Kirchner age 49 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant.

Report of an alarm—Officer responded to the alarm and found a water line that had been broken causing the alarm to activate. The manager of the building was notified who responded to take care of the problem.

Report of possible child abuse—Officer received a report of a child who had a bruise on his leg. During the officer’s investigation and interviewing the child parents the report was unfounded.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer contacted several individuals who were arguing over the lease of a home. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Tiana M. Wilson age 25 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Brandon Conder age 29 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a dog at large—Officer received a report of a dog that had escaped its enclosure. The owner of the dog was notified and the dog was secured.

Report of an agency assist—Officer received information from the Nye County Sheriff’s Office that an individual who stole a computer from a residence in Nye County was in the Ely area. During the officers investigation the suspect was located. The computer was located and secured and Nye County was advised. Officer reported that during his investigation Stacy Carrico age 53 of Ely was arrested for obstructing an officer, destroying evidence and possession of stolen property.

Report of an alarm—False alarm.

Report of a traffic hazard—Officer located an abandoned vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle was towed by a local tow company.

Report of a stolen vehicle—Reporting party stated that her juvenile son, who is under age to be driving had taken her vehicle. Officer located the vehicle at a local parking lot, but the juvenile was not located. Investigation continues.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Brett E. Anderson age 64 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant and for obstructing a police officer.

Report of a trespasser—Officer received a report of an individual who had returned to a residence after being trespassed off the property. Officer located the individual and identified him as Daniel Blackhorse-Smith age 62 of Ely Blackhorse-Smith was arrested for trespassing, obstructing a police officer, and contempt of court.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine.

Report of a violation of a protection order—Reporting party needed clarification on a possible violation of a protective order. Officer provide the information needed. No violation had occurred.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party was concerned about an individual posting things about her on Face Book. The incident was documented.

Report of a found wallet—Reporting party located a wallet at a local convenience store parking lot. The owner of the wallet will be notified.

Report of an accident—Amber Purinton of Ely had parked her vehicle and had exited it. The car then rolled backwards striking a parked vehicle belonging to Sharie Martin of Ely. An accident report was completed.

Report of found drugs—The report was given to the Task Force.

Report of truancy X2— Officer received a report of several students at the high school that were deemed to be truant. The students were located and issued citations for truancy.

Report of a parking problem—Officer received a report of several vehicles parked in a fire lane. The area was patrolled, but the vehicles were not located.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was fine.

Report of a stolen gun—Reporting party stated that her gun came up missing around four years ago and now she believes it was stolen. A report was completed.
