Friday, April 22nd is Earth Day and let’s celebrate our wonderful world by participating  in the “Mayor’s Community Wide Cleanup” Saturday and Sunday, April 23 and 24 at the County Park across from the Middle School  at 9am both days.  We will target several areas around the community that have unsightly trash and debris, all entrances coming into Ely, roadways, streets and alleys.  All the schools in Ely will participate in the trash pick up during Earth Week, Kim Klammer and his crew from Robinson Mine, Catherine Griffith  and members from the Ely Shoshone Tribe are also on board to pitch in, show some Community Pride and Volunteer!

The City Of Ely will provide the trash bags. For the residences cleaning up their yard, The City Crews will pick up oversized garbage, mattresses, scrap iron, tires (no household garbage) etc. All items should be placed on the curb in front of your house.  The City will have two pickup dates- Monday, April 25 all residences from Great Basin Blvd. to the West end of Ely and the second pick up date will be Monday May 2, all residences from Great Basin Blvd to the East end of Ely.

Let’s Pitch In and Pick Up!
