Report of a agency assist—Officer assisted medical staff at the hospital with an uncooperative patient.

Report of a citizen assist—Officer escorted an individual to her vehicle after she had gotten off work, due to suspicious subjects in the area.

Report of a welfare check—Officer checked on the child and reported that she was fine.

Report of suspicious subjects—Officer received a report of several subjects loitering on private property. Officer contacted the individuals who had permission from the owner to be on the property.

Report of an accident—Officer received a report of a vehicle accident that had occurred on US 6. Officer reported that two vehicles attempted to pass the same vehicle at the same time causing an accident. The operators of the vehicles drove to the Sheriff’s Office to file the report. An incident report was completed.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that a family member stole her wallet. Investigation continues.

Report of a juvenile problem—Reporting party stated that her juvenile son left their home and hasn’t returned. The juvenile was located and returned home.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that a window on his vehicle had been damaged. The incident was documented.

Report of an accident—Reporting party stated that while he was driving on an unmaintained roadway a vehicle that was following him ran into the back of his vehicle. A drivers report was filed with the Sheriff’s Office.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the night.

Report of barking dogs—Officer reported that the owner of the dogs was not located, but will be issued a citation for barking dogs when located.

Report of an agency assist—Officer reported that he assisted the Ely ambulance with an individual who was having a medical problem.

Report of a death—Officer reported that Robert F. Vandermark age 54 of Ely died at his residence of natural causes.

Report of a welfare check—Officer attempted to locate the individuals, but was unsuccessful.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—Officer located the vehicle and reported that it had mechanical problems and was parked along the side of the roadway.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of a customer who was upset over the bill he had received for mechanical work on a vehicle. Officer contacted the parties involved and the situation was solved civilly.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Cameron M. Varney age 23 of Ely was arrested of an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a traffic hazard—The area was patrolled and nothing was located in the roadway.

Report of a dog problem—The report was given to Animal Control.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Rita M. Wooldridge age 36 of Ely was arrested for failure to maintain lane of travel, child restraints, and D.U.I. #1

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Elizabeth M. Faver age 26 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a juvenile prolem—Officer received a report of a juvenile who was refusing to go to school. The juvenile along with her mother were contacted. The juvenile was advised to go to school.

Report of a fraud—Reporting party stated that he is selling a vehicle and he received a check in the mail for the purchase. The reporting party believed the check to be fraudulent. Officer investigated the incident and advised that the check was fraudulent.

Report of a reckless driver—The area was patrolled, but the vehicles were not located.

Report of an accident—Margaret Bainbridge of Ely was operating a vehicle turning right onto Aultman Street. She failed to yield to a vehicle being operated by William McCutcheon of Ely who was traveling on Aultman Street. Bainbridge vehicle struck McCutcheon’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Bainbridge was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Report of harassment—Reporting party stated that she is receiving unwanted phone calls from an individual who lives out of state. She was advised to block the number or to have her number changed.

Report of a battery—Reporting party stated that her employer garbed her hand and then kissed her. The reporting party stated that she then left her place of work. Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle who was sleeping inside his truck. No problems were reported.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that an individual came into her place of business and stole an item. Officers identified the individual and are attempting to locate her. Investigation continues.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that someone had stolen a gun from his residence. The reporting party was unsure of when the theft had occurred. The incident was documented.

Report of an open door—Officer received a report of an open door on a closed business. The business was checked and the door secured.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individual who had been ill. Officer made arraignments for the individual to receive assistance.

Report of a scam—Reporting party stated that she received a phone call on her answering machine and the caller indicated he was from the IRS. The caller advised she needed to return his call or face the consequences. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and to discontinue any contact with the caller.

Report of harassment—Reporting party stated that an individual had signed over his parental rights to her, but the individual is now bothering the child. The individual was contacted and advised to stay away from the child.

Report of a battery—Reporting party stated that an individual whom she stays with had punched her several times over the past month. Investigation continues.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of a juvenile who was walking around with a gun. Officer contacted the juvenile and reported that it was an air soft gun.

Report of harassment—Reporting party stated that she was receiving unwanted phone calls from her ex-husband. She was advised to block his number.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that a recent hail storm had damaged his sun roof on his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of possible abuse—Reporting party stated that his father was wrestling with him and it became physical. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that she had gone into business with an individual and she requested information from him about where her money was and how it was invested. She stated that the individual became upset and made threats towards her. Officer is attempting to contact the individual who made the threats.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual was loitering around her trailer causing problems. Officer contacted the individual who was upset that he didn’t get to purchase the trailer. He was advised to keep the peace.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that she allowed an individual to store stuff inside her building. She stated that she requested the rent owed for the storage and the individual became upset and removed his property from the building. The reporting party stated that when the individual moved out he damaged several items. A report was completed.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that he loaned his phone to an individual and she took off with it. Officer located the individual and identified her as Nicole Carson age 27 of Ely. Carson was arrested for grand larceny.

MAY 1

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that she wanted to report a theft of property. Officer investigated the incident and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of an agency assist—Reporting party stated that an individual had come to his home needing medical assistance. Officer contacted the individual who stated that his feet were frozen. He was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that he locked the doors to his business, but when he returned later the door was unlocked. Officer reported that nothing was missing. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that she is leaving her husband and was going to lock him out of their home. Reporting party was concerned that he would break the door down. Information was provide to her reference her concerns.

Report of a citizen assist—Officer contacted an individual who had fallen in a parking lot and was unable to get up. Assistance was provided.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that her child was acting out today and when questioned why it was due to a court order pertaining to visitation rights. Officer spoke to the child and worked out some of her concerns.

Report of a child custody problem—Reporting party stated that she was to meet the father of her children for child custody exchange, but he didn’t show up. The incident was documented.

Report of a hit and run accident—Reporting party stated that someone had backed into his vehicle and then left the scene. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that her adult son whom resides with her got anger and broke several items in her home. The reporting party stated that her son had left for the night and she doesn’t want him to return. The son was contacted and advised.

Report of a reckless driver—Reporting party stated that a vehicle constantly drives by his residence at a high rate of speed. Officer is attempting to locate the vehicle.

Report of illegally parked vehicle—Officer received a report of an individual storing disabled vehicles and trailers with in the city limits. The individual was contacted and advise to remove them.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of possible sexual assault—Reporting party stated that an individual had come to her motel room and assaulted her child. Investigation continues.

Report of illegally parked vehicles—Officer reported that the vehicles were parked on private property.

Report of a truancy—Officer reported that the juvenile was issued a citation for truancy and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a trespasser—Officer received a report of an individual who was trespassing on a foreclosed property. The individual was contacted and advised to leave the property.

Report of found property—Reporting party located some personal property of an individual who lives in the Ely area. The items were returned to the individual.

Report of child custody concerns—Reporting party stated that he had concerns with his ex-wife over her ability to care for their child they have in common. The incident was documented.
