JUNE 20
Report of a custody problem — The reporting party claimed the father of her child was violating the visitation rules. It was later discovered he was not.
Report of a private property accident — Leroy Valdez and Brianna Yee were both backing from parked positions and struck each other. A report was completed.
Report of a private property accident — Barbara Anderson was backing from a parked position and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. A report was completed.
Report of a juvenile problem — The reporting party claimed a juvenile was yelling at passing motorists. The juvenile was located and spoken to about his behavior.
Report of a found dog — The dog was secured at the pound.
Report of a dog problem — The reporting party claimed a neighbor’s dog attacked his dog. The neighbor apologized.  A report was completed.
Report of a domestic disturbance — The reporting party claimed his girlfriend battered him. The girlfriend claimed the reporting party battered her. Neither one had signs of being battered. Both parties separated for the night.

Report of a private property accident — The reporting party said a vehicle backed into his parked car in a private parking lot. The driver then attempted to leave. The reporting party stopped him and was able to identify him as Gary Nelson of Ely. When Nelson learned law enforcement was responding, he fled the area. A report was completed.
Report of an accident — Bevan Hardy, of Lund, reported striking a deer on a highway. A report was completed.
Report of an unattended death — A male subject was located deceased in his home. There were no signs of foul play. Deputies are attempting to locate his next of kin.
Report of found property — A bag was found and placed into lost and found.
Report of shots fired — It was discovered the noise was fireworks.
Report of vandalism — The reporting party claimed someone keeps damaging his vehicle. A report was completed.
Report of a suspicious vehicle — The vehicle was located and checked, OK.

Report of a noise disturbance —- Officer contacted several individuals who were playing basketball. They advised that they were done for the night and left the area.
Report of a barking dog — The area was patrolled, but the dog was not located.
Report of a welfare check — The area was patrolled, but the individual was not located.
Report of an accident — The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Jennilee Tabura, 33, of Ely, was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant.
Report of a domestic disturbance —Officer contacted the parties involved who gave conflicting statements on what had occurred during the argument. The parties involved had separated for the night. Due to one of the parties involved making threats to harm himself, he was taken to the E.R. for medical assistance.

JUNE 23
Report of delayed accident — Reilly Butler of Michigan, reported striking a guard rail while driving. A report was completed.
Report of a public nuisance — The owner was contacted and agreed to clean up his yard.
Report of welfare check — The subject was located and was fine.
Report of a parking violation — The owner of the vehicle was contacted and moved the vehicle.
Report of an accident — A vehicle operated by Carolyn Guinn of Henderson, was entering the intersection traveling westbound from the stop sign at Avenue I across Great Basin Blvd. when it failed to yield to a vehicle which was being operated by John Hill of Ely, traveling northbound on Great Basin Blvd. at Avenue I. Guinn was cited for failure to yield from stop sign and Hill was cited  for no proof of insurance.
Report of a possible protection order violation — The reporting party said she is a party on a protection order and the other party was harassing her. The investigation continues.
Report of harassment — The reporting party claimed to be harassed via text by another person. The text messages were viewed and it appeared to be a mutual argument.
Report of a dog bite — The reporting party claimed to have been bitten by her own dog.
Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed to be having issues with her adult grandson. The grandson was acting out and was later transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
Report of a welfare check — Contact was made with the subject and was found to be fine.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Jeremy Jaramillo, 43, of Ely, was arrested on a Jackpot Justice Court warrant.
Report of a missing child— Officer received a report of a child that was missing from a home. The home was searched and the child was located sleeping under a blanket.
Report of a public nuisance — Officers received five complaints from the city of Ely on residences that had accumulated items in their yards deemed to be a public nuisance. The owners of the property will be contacted and issued citations.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that his neighbor’s light shines in his window. The incident was documented.
Report of a child custody problem — Reporting party stated that the father of her child is not following the child custody order and hasn’t returned their child in common on the appropriate date. Officer is attempting to locate the father and child.

Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted medical staff at the hospital with an uncooperative patient.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that two females possess her body and make her do things she shouldn’t. The incident was documented.
Report of trespassers — Officer received a report of several juveniles who had climbed a fence and were on the property of another. Officer contacted the juveniles and released them to their parents.

Report of a domestic disturbance —Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that it was a verbal argument. The parties involved had been arguing over medical care. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that the father of her child recently moved into her home, but he constantly causes problems. The reporting party wanted him trespassed from her property. She was advised of the eviction process to have him removed.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that she had seen someone inside a vacant apartment. The apartment was checked and no problems were located.
Report of property damage — Officer reported that a picnic table had been turned upside down and legs on the table had been damaged. The incident was documented.
Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the child and she was fine.
Report of a violation of a protective order — Reporting party stated that she is receiving text messages from an individual whom she has a protective order against. The incident was documented and the investigation continues.
Report of a music disturbance — Reporting party stated that an individual was playing her music in her vehicle very loud and causing a disturbance. Officer contacted the individual and issued her a citation for disturbing the peace.
Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that several individuals were loitering near her property. The area was patrolled, but they had left the scene.
Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that there were suspicious lights in her window. Officer reported that the lights were just reflecting in her window. No problems were located.

Report of an accident — Officer received a report of a vehicle accident located on County Road # 3/Ruby Marsh Road. Officer reported that the driver of the vehicle had been taken to Elko by a private vehicle for medical assistance. Investigation into the accident continues.
Report of shots fired — Officer located the individual who was target shooting. No problems were located.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and during his investigation arrested Ana K. McShane, 29, of Ely. McShane was arrested for domestic battery and injury to property. She is accused of battering her boyfriend and damaging his phone.

JUNE 27
Report of a car alarm — False alarm.
Report of a found child — Reporting party located a small child who was walking the city streets unattended. The child was transported to the Public Safety Building and a search for his parents was conducted. The mother of the child was located who took custody of the child. D.C.F.S. was contacted and will work with the mother on an action plan.
Report of a domestic disturbance —The report was given to Ely Tribal Police.
Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that her vehicle was parked and unoccupied and another vehicle struck it. The striking vehicle fled the scene. A witness was able to identify the striking vehicle. Investigation continues.
Report of an alarm — False alarm.
Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that several juveniles had used paint to paint their names and pictures in the roadway. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.
Report of a harassment — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend has been driving by her home yelling profanities at her. Officer is attempting to locate the ex-boyfriend who does not live in the Ely area.
Report of a reckless driver — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and advised him of the compliant. He was issued a warning.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that his ex-wife’s boyfriend was to pick up their child at school but he failed to do so. The reporting party arrived at the school and took custody of the child. The information was provided to D.C.F.S. The boyfriend was contacted who stated that he had over slept.
Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of a dog being tied up outside a local store. Officer contacted the owner of the dog who had obtained something to eat at the store. No problems were reported.
Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that he thought someone was loitering around his place of work. The area was patrolled, and no one was located.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over property and access to it. The parties involved separated for the night.
