Gary Ernest Lusetti Gary Ernest Lusetti passed away at his home on Sept. 16, 2016. He was born Aug. 13, 1944 in Ely, Nev. to the late Vincent and Lesina Settefrati Lusetti. He was the youngest of three children and was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Lusetti, and is survived by his oldest brother,Vance Lusetti of Oceanside, Calif. Gary graduated from White Pine High School in 1962. He was the father of two children who survived him, Monica Skinner (Randy) of Boise, Idaho and Randy Lusetti (Brooke) of Reno, Nev. Gary is survived by his grandchildren; Zak Barrett (Megan), Kayla Christensen (Rex), Jentry Skinner, Sarah and Addison Lusetti. Gary worked for the Nevada Department of Transportation for 38 years, retiring in 2003 as the supervisor of the Lund Maintenance Station. He also operated a horse-shoeing business for over 40 years. Gary was known for his incredible work ethic, his sense of humor, and his willingness to help others. Gary loved the outdoors where he was actively involved in hunting, fishing and trapping. He owned and was fond of a number of dogs that were by his side throughout his life. Gary was a friend to many and enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for others. He will be greatly missed. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ely on Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. and will be followed by Holy Mass. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
