adoptions now through Dec. 23.

The item had to be approved by the Ely City Council last Thursday, but it was without any difficulty when it came time to vote on this agenda item. Bert, owner of the Prospector Hotel was going thru the paper a few weeks ago, reading the articles and when he reached the section of the Pets available for adoption he said “these poor animals week after week, there has to be some way to help, there must be something or some way we can help get the animals adopted.”

It was then that Bert decided to make the offer to sponsor all pet adoptions thru Dec. 23.

If you are interested in adopting a shelter pet, you can go to the following link to view what animals are available: http://www.elycity.com/adoptable-pets or visit the animal shelter between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
