NOVEMBER 14

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: Officer patrolled the area, but the individual was not located.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a juvenile who was causing a disturbance at a local school. Officer contacted the juvenile and his parents and the situation was resolved.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City — Cassie Hansen of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. Hansen failed to see a vehicle behind her being operated by Matilda Thompson of Duckwater. Hansen’s vehicle struck Thompson’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A TRUANCY: City — officer received a report of a student who was truant from school. The student was issued a citation for truancy and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that he allowed an individual to move into his home, but now wants him removed. The reporting party was advised to proceed with the eviction process.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City— officer received a report of an individual who had entered into a local store and had stolen several items. Officer contacted the individual and identified her as Shilo A. Swan age 36 of Cedar City, UT. Swan was arrested for petit larceny.

NOVEMBER 15

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF BARKING DOGS: Officer contacted the owner of the dogs and advised him of the problem.

REPORT OF ATV PROBLEMS: Reporting party stated that several juveniles have been riding their ATV’S on the roadway spinning donuts and causing other problems. Officers will patrol the area.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A STUDENT: City — reporting party stated that a student was causing a disturbance at a local school. The student was contacted who had calmed down and was agreeable to school staff.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — the individual was contacted and was fine.

REPORT OF AN INJURED DOG: City — officer located the dog that had been struck by a vehicle and it was deceased. It was removed from the roadway.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENt: Mary Barela of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on US 50 when she struck a coyote. There was moderate damage to her vehicle. A report was completed.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that during a traffic stop Samantha Slotterback age 28 of Ely was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic device.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Officer contacted the parties involved who claimed they had only been involved in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the night.

REPORT OF A VIOLATION OF A COURT ORDER: City — officer investigated the incident and reported that no violation had occurred.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBEJCT: City — officer received a report of an individual dragging a person into a motel room. Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that one of the individuals was intoxicated and the other was helping him into his room.

REPORT OF IDENTITY THEFT: City — reporting party stated that someone had used her identity to take out several loans and obtain utilities in Las Vegas. A report was completed and the information to will provided to Las Vegas Police Department.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUSIANCE: City — officer received a report of a vehicle that had obscene pictures drawn on it. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST: City — reporting party stated that he went to the Ely Landfill to dump his garbage. When he went to leave he was locked inside. A worker for the landfill was contacted who unlocked the gate.

REPORT OF AN OPEN DOOR: City — officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door secured.

REPORT OF A LOST ITEM: City — reporting party stated that his license plate was missing from his vehicle. He was advised to contact DMV and make a report.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBEJCT: City — officer received a report of a person sleeping in a laundry room at a local apartment complex. Officer contacted the individual and identified him as a local juvenile. The juveniles parent was contacted who arrived at the scene and took custody of him.

NOVEMBER 17

REPORT OF A BATTERY: Reporting party stated that while visiting the city of Las Vegas he was battered by an individual. Officer completed a report and the information will be forwarded to Las Vegas Police Department.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: Reporting party stated that she was having problems with several individuals accusing her of stealing a tablet. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A TRUANCY:Officer received a report of a student that was truant from school. The student was issued a citation for truancy and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City — officer received a report of parents possibly involved in inappropriate behavior in front of their child. Officer investigated the incident and reported no problems were located.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that a phone had been stolen from her place of business. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: City—reporting party stated that someone had forced their way into her closed business and stole some money Investigation continues.

REPORT OF TWO ARRESTS: City — officer reported that Wesley F. Deleon age 44 of Rapid City SD was arrested on a warrant out of PahranagatValley Justice Court and Latisha R. Deleon age 38 of Ruth was arrested on a warrant out of Pahranagat Valley Justice Court.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: City — reporting party stated that someone had forced their way into a church building and had damaged some property located inside. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — Derek Goff of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Ave I entering onto Great Basin Blvd. As he did so he failed to yield to a vehicle being operated by Deborah Lindsley of Ruth.  Goff’s vehicle struck Lindsley vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Goff was issued a citation for failure to yield.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — Kelsie Porter a juvenile of McGill was operating a vehicle traveling on Campton Street. Walter Fick of Ely was stopped at a stop sign at the corner of Campton Street and Great Basin Blvd. Porter failed to stop her vehicle and struck Fick’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Porter was issued a citation for following to close.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: Officer received a report of an individual sleeping in a car. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A THEFT: Reporting party stated that someone had stolen his tires and wheels he had stored at his home. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: The dog was captured and taken to the Animal Control facility.

REPORT OF AN AMBULANCE ASSIST: Officer assisted EMT’S with a subject who was having medical problems.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PARTY: City — the area was patrolled, but no problems were located.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: City — the vehicle was located and no problems were reported

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved agreed to separate for the night.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: City — officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised him of the complaint. He was issued a warning.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: City — false alarm.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Reporting party stated that when he returned home he located several items in his bedroom that didn’t belong to him. The items were collected and destroyed.

REPORT OF A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT: City — Jodi Solberg of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Aultman Street. She stated that a vehicle pulled out of a private drive and struck her vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS NOISE: Reporting party stated that she heard a loud banging noise inside her home. The home and surrounding area was checked, but no problems were located.

REPORT OF DEBRIS IN THE ROADWAY: City — officer received a report of several tires in the roadway. Officer patrolled the area and located several juveniles who were rolling tires into the roadway. The juveniles fled the scene. The tires were removed.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — officer received a report of a fight that was taking place in the middle of the street. When officers arrived they made contact with the parties involved. Officer reported that Jeffrey Plumley age 26 of Kingman AZ was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a police officer, and unlawful deposit of rubbish on a highway.
