MARCH 26 

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party claimed someone stole a sign from their property.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: The building was checked and found to be secure.

REPORT OF A NOISE DISTURBANCE: The owner of the home was warned about disturbing the peace.

REPORT OF LITTERING: An unknown person put refuse in a local lake.  The items were removed from the lake.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: City – the vehicle was located and the occupants denied any wrongdoing.  They left the area without incident.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: The reporting party claimed several juveniles were committing delinquent acts.  The juveniles were contacted and denied said acts.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: It was discovered to be two brothers arguing.  Both agreed to separate for the night.

MARCH 27 

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party, an employee of a local business, claimed a male was causing a disturbance and was refusing to leave.  The male left prior to law enforcement arriving.

REPORT OF A HABITUAL TRUANT: City – a student was deemed a habitual truant.  A citation was issued and a report was completed to be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: The building was checked and found to be secure.

 REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – the reporting party claimed her daughter was being bullied by another child while at school.  The incident was investigated and a report was submitted to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was contacted and claimed he was okay.

REPORT OF VANDALISM: City – the reporting party claimed an unknown person had damaged property at her workplace.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF FRAUD: City – the reporting party received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Sheriff’s Office advising they had missed jury duty.  The phone call was fraudulent.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM: The reporting party claimed a package for her was accidentally delivered to the home of her soon to be ex-husband and he was refusing to bring it to her.  The incident was deemed civil in nature.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: The subject was contacted and was found to be moving a trailer.

MARCH 28 

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City — reporting party stated that he is having problems with an individual over a female they were both dating. The reporting party stated that the individual went to a residence where he used to live looking for him. The parties involved were contacted and advised to stay away from each other.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST: Officer assisted an individual who had gotten his vehicle stuck in a ditch. They were able to get the vehicle out and no other problems were reported.

REPORT OF A LOST AND FOUND BIKE: City — the bike was collected and placed into lost and found.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City — Laurel Hughes of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a vehicle behind her being operated by Denise Quenzer of Ely.  Hughes vehicle struck Quenzer’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF AN ATL: Officers received a report of an indidvual who was threatening to harm himself. Officers were able to locate the person and during their investigation he was identified as David N. Schwab age 57 of Peebles OH. During the officers investigation Schwab was arrested on a warrant out of the state of Ohio for obscenity and pandering.

REPORT OF A FRAUD: City — reporting party stated that he received a phone call from an individual claiming to be from the Sheriff’s Office. The caller advised the reporting party that he had several warrants out for him and he needed to take care of the warrants by paying the caller through MoneyPak cards. The reporting party did what the caller asked and paid the alleged warrant fees. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and that the Sheriff’s Office does not collect fines no warrant fees over the phone

.REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The area was patrolled, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF FOUND PROPERTY: Reporting party located a wallet with an ID alongside a rural highway. The owner of the wallet will be contacted.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE FIRE: City — the report was given to the Ely Fire Department.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Eric Armstrong age 45 of Ruth was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant for contempt of court.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Officer located the vehicle and contacted the occupants. No problems were located.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City — the area was patrolled, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Tabura Jennilee age 35 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant, for contempt of court.

MARCH 29 

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party discovered money missing from his unlocked vehicle.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City – a fight broke out between two students at school.  A report was completed and submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.

REPORT OF AN ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: City – the reporting party claimed her teenager child was suicidal.  The teen was contacted and was later transported to the hospital for observation.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was contacted and claimed to be fine.

REPORT OF INJURY TO PROPERTY: City – the reporting party claimed someone damaged the door to her residence.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 53 year old Fernley resident Kevin Ross was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
