Two people died on June 4 when an SUV crossed the center line and struck a tractor trailer head-on about five miles north of McGill.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reported that the 2001 Chevrolet SUV had just passed through McGill and was northbound on U.S. 93 en route to Washington State. The SUV crossed the center line into oncoming traffic at 5:45 a.m.

NHP identified the two deceased passengers as Olivia Ramierez, 21, and Samuel C. Murillos-Cortes, 25, both of Valley View, Texas. The driver, Francisco Gallegos, 20, also of Texas survived with injuries.

Two very young children, a 1-year-old and a 6-month-old, were airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital.

The truck driver and a passenger were not injured.
