With two key players injured the day before and temporarily out of action the Ladycats dropped a home game to Boulder City 3-0 Saturday.
White Pine’s Kelsie Fullmer moves the ball downfield in the game with Boulder City Saturday.
The Ladycats’ Sierra Harris gets the ball far from the goal WPHS is defending.
White Pine’s Angie Searle and a Boulder City player attempt to get a foot on the ball.
Teal Collins is in a better position to move the ball than a Boulder City player.

Kaeli Willes and Kathy Murdock both had to watch the action at Steptoe Park as spectators following injuries suffered during a game at Faith Lutheran in Las Vegas Friday. It was not known how many games either girl might miss. Willes was on crutches Saturday and Murdock had a hand and wrist bandaged.

Alicia Searle stepped up and played in goal in place of Murdock for the Boulder City game.

“We've stepped it up with those injuries” Coach Rebecca Byers said of the versatility of Searles and other players who can play multiple positions when needed.

“We played a great game. We hustled for the ball, our defense was solid and we had some great shots on goal,” Byers said of the effort.

She praised the junior varsity for playing a good game at Faith Lutheran Friday. “Our JV played a solid game there. They are really learning and helping each other,” she said.
